Karnataka High Court Notices CM Siddaramaiah Over Site Allotment Case
In Bengaluru, the Karnataka High Court has asked Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his wife, along with others, to respond to accusations about site allotments in a big case. An RTI activist named Snehamayi Krishna is asking for a transfer of the investigation to the CBI because Siddaramaiah’s wife, Parvathi B M, is accused of getting 14 illegal sites from the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA).
Previously, a judge rejected this appeal on February 7, saying there wasn’t enough evidence to switch the investigation from Lokayukta Police to the CBI. The High Court, led by Chief Justice N V Anjaria and Justice K V Aravind, set a date for the responses, stating they want to look at the case again on April 28.
The earlier court decided that the Lokayukta police were doing their job well and had enough independence, meaning they believed the investigation was fair. During Wednesday’s discussion, the judges raised questions about whether Snehamayi Krishna’s appeal was valid.
The lawyer for the appellant clarified that he was not arguing against a previous court decision; he just wants a new order allowing the CBI to investigate. He mentioned that another related case concerning permission to prosecute the others involved is set for April 28 as well.
This matter is serious as Siddaramaiah, his wife, and others are named in a police report. Although the Lokayukta police asked to investigate further, they also reported they found little evidence against Siddaramaiah and others. However, they mentioned that MUDA’s way of allotting land seemed to have caused a loss to the government.
The allegations claim that Siddaramaiah’s wife got 14 valuable plots in a prime area of Mysuru while only giving MUDA a piece of land that wasn’t as valuable. The MUDA had a scheme that allowed them to give land back to people who gave theirs up, but the controversy over how it was done is still ongoing. -

On March 16, famous music composer A.R. Rahman was taken to the hospital in Chennai because he was dehydrated. He had to go through some tests, including an ECG. In a chat with India Today, Rahman explained what happened to him and talked about his recent separation from his wife, Saira Banu, which has been a big topic online.
A.R. Rahman Shares His Health Scare
Talking about his health, Rahman said, “I was just having some fun and decided to fast and eat only vegetarian food. This led to a gastric attack that made me go to the hospital. I didn’t expect people to find out so quickly, and it was nice to get so many kind messages from everyone.”
A.R. Rahman on His Personal Life in the Spotlight
Rahman also mentioned how his personal life has captured people’s attention. He said, “It’s a bit humanizing. Sometimes you may not feel connected to someone who seems perfect. I’ve gone through many ups and downs, and everyone has their special qualities — they’re superheroes in their own homes. I feel like my fans turned me into a superhero, which is why I named my upcoming tour ‘Wonderment.’ It’s amazing to receive so much love and support.”
Last November, Saira Banu announced that she was separating from Rahman after 29 years of marriage. She said they still love each other, but they have faced many challenges that they cannot overcome right now.
Recently, A.R. Rahman created music for the film Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal, which has become a huge success, bringing in over ₹800 crore at the box office. The songs, like “Jaane Tu” and “Aaya Re Toofan,” have also been massive hits. Rahman is getting ready to tour 18 cities in the USA for his ‘Wonderment’ tour. He will start his tour in Mumbai, performing at DY Patil Stadium on May 3 during the WAVES Summit, and will be joined by dancer Shiamak Davar. -
Mirage V ROSE Crash: PAF Pilots Eject to Safety in Punjab Incident
A Pakistan Air Force training jet crashed in the Punjab province on Tuesday, government officials reported. The aircraft, a Mirage V ROSE, went down in fields near Ratta Tibba, which is about 350 kilometers southwest of Lahore. Fortunately, both pilots were safe because they managed to eject themselves just before the crash.
Local news sources say the pilots were taken to a nearby army hospital, even though they only had minor injuries. The aircraft was on a routine training mission that began at Thingi airport near Vehari. It crashed close to an oil depot, but thankfully, no one on the ground was hurt, and there was no damage to any buildings.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud boom and then seeing a cloud of smoke rising from the crash site. Rescue teams, including military and police, quickly arrived at the scene. Initial reports suggest the aircraft crashed due to a technical fault.
The Mirage V ROSE is an upgraded version of the older French Mirage 5 fighter plane. It has been part of the Pakistan Air Force since the 1970s, and special upgrades have made it better at flying and fighting. Despite its age, it is still an important part of the Air Force’s fleet.
