Abishek Porel Excited for IPL 2025, Talks About Rishabh Pant’s Impact

Abishek Porel, the young player from Delhi Capitals, recently shared how much the team will miss their former captain, Rishabh Pant, in the upcoming IPL season. Pant, who began his career with DC, has now joined Lucknow Super Giants for an incredible INR 27 crore and has been made their captain.

Delhi Capitals have chosen Axar Patel, who was retained by the team, as their new captain. Porel, who played under Pant last season, said he learned a lot from him. “I remember everything Rishabh Pant has taught me. He is a match-winner. We will miss him. Cricket is a battle, and we always want to win,” Porel told Sports Today.

Axar Patel is full of confidence after his recent success and is ready to lead the team in IPL 2025. Porel praised Axar’s leadership skills and mentioned that both Pant and Axar have a similar funny and lively style of captaincy.

“The goal for Delhi Capitals is to win the trophy. We have a strong team this season, and we aim to reach the finals and win it,” Porel said.

As Delhi’s main wicketkeeper this season, Porel is prepared to play either as an opener or at number three in the batting order. He mentioned, “The team management hasn’t told me my exact role yet, but I’m ready for anything the team needs.”

The 22-year-old player believes that helping the team win is more important than personal achievements. “If I score a hundred and the team loses, I won’t feel happy. If the team needs 20 runs off 10 balls, I’ll do that. What’s most important to me is the team winning,” he concluded.

  • Gold and Silver Prices Fluctuate: Key Insights and Trends

Gold and Silver Prices Fluctuate: Key Insights and Trends

Gold and silver prices have seen some ups and downs recently. Last week, gold hit a record price of Rs 88,310 for every 10 grams. On Monday, though, people started selling their gold, and the price dropped by around Rs 278, bringing it down to Rs 87,713 for every 10 grams.

Silver prices stayed strong, remaining above Rs 1 lakh per kg, but also experienced a small drop of Rs 379 to Rs 1,00,359. Just a few days ago, gold closed the week at Rs 87,991 per 10 grams, which was a slight increase, while silver ended at Rs 1,00,738, gaining some value.

The rise in gold and silver prices happened because of worries in the global economy, especially due to news about trade tariffs from the U.S. Gold prices even crossed $3,000 per ounce in other countries, and silver reached highs not seen in 4.5 months as people sought safe places to invest their money.

Manoj Kumar Jain from Prithvifinmart explained that many investors are now more interested in gold due to fears of a recession in the U.S. In fact, gold has seen its best inflow into ETFs (funds that hold gold) in over two years recently.

Today, the U.S. Dollar Index is slightly up, but there’s still anxiety about the U.S. economy, as consumer confidence is low and inflation expectations are rising. Jain suggests that gold and silver prices may be unstable but should remain above certain key levels this week.

For gold at the MCX, the support prices are between Rs 87,550 and Rs 87,200, while resistance levels are between Rs 88,320 and Rs 88,600. For silver, support is between Rs 1,00,000 and Rs 99,200, and resistance is between Rs 1,01,400 and Rs 1,02,000. Jain recommends buying silver at Rs 1,00,000, with a stop loss set at Rs 98,800, targeting Rs 1,02,000.

    Gold Prices Today:
    – In Delhi: 22-carat gold is Rs 57,928 for 8 grams, and 24-carat is Rs 61,808 for 8 grams.
    – In Mumbai: 22-carat gold is Rs 57,008 for 8 grams, and 24-carat is Rs 60,752 for 8 grams.

  • Harry Brook’s Two-Year IPL Ban: What You Need to Know!

Harry Brook’s Two-Year IPL Ban: What You Need to Know!

Harry Brook, a cricket star from England, has been banned from playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for two years. This decision was made by the BCCI, which is the cricket board in India. The ban happened because Brook decided to pull out of the IPL at the last minute, focusing instead on his commitments to the England cricket team.

Because of a new rule from the IPL, Brook will not be allowed to enter the auction again until 2028. Many big names in cricket, like Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid, support this decision. Moeen said that many foreign players have done the same thing in the past, pulling out of the league and then coming back for better contracts. He explained that this messes up team plans because losing a good player like Brook complicates everything for the team.

Moeen added, “When you pull out, you disrupt the team’s plans. If you have to leave for family reasons or because of an injury, that’s different. But pulling out without a good reason is unfair.” Adil Rashid also agreed, saying the rules are there to stop players from pulling out without proper cause. He mentioned that many players have done this in the past, which is why the BCCI made this strict rule.

That’s why the board is trying to take action so that this doesn’t happen again.

Orry Awatramani Charged for Drinking Near Vaishno Devi Shrine

Bollywood’s popular socialite, Orhan Awatramani, also known as Orry, and seven others have gotten into trouble with the Jammu and Kashmir Police. They are accused of drinking alcohol near the Vaishno Devi shrine, a very important place for Hindu pilgrims.

According to news reports, the police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against these eight individuals, including Orry, for drinking in a hotel in Katra, which is a restricted area. The other people involved are Darshan Singh, Parth Raina, Ritick Singh, Rashi Dutta, Rakshita Bhogal, Shagun Kohli, and a Russian national named Anastasila Arzamaskina.

The police registered this FIR because they believe the group broke local rules against alcohol and non-vegetarian food due to the shrine’s sacred nature. The authorities take this seriously, especially because such activities can offend people’s religious feelings.

Police officials have set up a special team to look into the situation. They plan to send notices to all the accused, including Orry, asking them to cooperate with the investigation. The police said they are committed to handling any violations at religious sites very strictly.

Orry is a well-known figure in the social media world and is close to many Bollywood stars like Janhvi Kapoor and Ananya Panday. His recent actions have caused a stir online, especially among his fans.

  • 6 Signs You’re Going Through a Spiritual Awakening Journey

6 Signs You’re Going Through a Spiritual Awakening Journey

Life changes all the time. Some changes we see coming, while others surprise us. Besides changes in our bodies or surroundings, there are deeper changes that happen inside us. This is called a spiritual awakening, and it can be a mix of confusion and beauty. Here’s a simple guide from healer Mariya about six signs that you might be experiencing a spiritual awakening.

    Signs of Spiritual Awakening

    1. Feeling Lost: When you experience a spiritual awakening, you may feel like you’re losing who you used to be. You might start to question your beliefs, friendships, and even your job. This can be scary, but it’s important to understand that you’re just letting go of things that don’t help you anymore. You are making space for a truer version of yourself.

    2. Changes in Your Life: As you grow, your life might change. Old friends may fade away, or you might stop enjoying certain activities. It may seem like everything is going wrong, but really, things are falling into place. Trust that you are being guided toward where you belong.

    3. More Sensitive to Feelings: You might notice that some people or places make you feel tired or anxious, even if they didn’t before. This is because your energy is changing, and you’re becoming more aware of the feelings around you. Instead of focusing on what makes you feel bad, pay attention to the good signs and happenings around you—these are messages guiding you.

    4. Healing Old Wounds: A spiritual awakening can bring up old pains, fears, and traumas. While it can hurt to face these issues, it’s important for your growth. Healing is a sign that you are on the right path, and you can handle this journey.

    5. Feeling Alone: Sometimes, people may not understand your changes. You might feel distant from friends and the world around you. That’s okay—this is normal. Don’t be afraid to move forward even if you feel lonely; you are still supported by the universe.

    6. Reconnecting with Yourself: After all the confusion and healing, you’ll start to see things more clearly. You’ll connect with your true self and find your inner strength. This awakening is like being reborn, starting a new chapter where you can live authentically. Others might not understand your transformation, but that’s alright. This is your special journey.

  • BJP Leader Detained Over TASMAC Scam Protests in Tamil Nadu

BJP Leader Detained Over TASMAC Scam Protests in Tamil Nadu

On Monday, Tamilisai Soundararajan, a leader from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was taken away by police while protesting about a scam linked to the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation Limited (TASMAC). Soundararajan said that the police came to her home in Chennai and that she wanted everyone to join her when they took her away. She told reporters, “I won’t go alone. I want everyone with me.”

Soundararajan emphasized that everyone has the right to protest about important issues. She discussed the alleged TASMAC scam, where the Enforcement Directorate (ED) found irregularities amounting to ₹1,000 crore. She said, “We planned a peaceful protest about this issue, but the police surrounded us. We aren’t scared and will continue fighting for the people’s rights.”

In the days leading up to her arrest, another BJP leader, CR Kesavan, criticized the budget of the Chief Minister, MK Stalin, calling it not helpful to the people’s needs. He added that the state’s debt is ₹9.3 lakh crore, making Tamil Nadu the highest debtor in India.

K Annamalai, the Tamil Nadu BJP chief, was also vocal about the scam involving state minister V Senthil Balaji, calling him the main person behind many scams. Annamalai stated, “The TASMAC scam is more than ₹1,000 crore, and Balaji is involved in every scam.” He labeled Balaji as the “liquor minister,” noting that the Chief Minister brought him back as a minister right after he was released from jail, claiming the TASMAC scam is bigger than the Delhi liquor case.

  • Justice Joymalya Bagchi Sworn in as Supreme Court Judge, Future CJI in 2031

Justice Joymalya Bagchi Sworn in as Supreme Court Judge, Future CJI in 2031

On Monday, Justice Joymalya Bagchi took the oath to become a judge of India’s Supreme Court. Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna led the ceremony. His appointment was approved by the Union government just a week earlier, following a recommendation by the Supreme Court’s collegium on March 6.

This is an important moment because Justice Bagchi is set to become the Chief Justice of India (CJI) in May 2031, although he will serve for only a little over four months until he retires on October 2, 2031. The Supreme Court’s collegium, which includes Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justices Bhushan R Gavai, Surya Kant, Abhay S Oka, and Vikram Nath, praised Justice Bagchi’s skills, honesty, and experience when choosing him.

Justice Bagchi started his career as a judge in the Calcutta High Court in June 2011. He moved to the Andhra Pradesh High Court in January 2021 but returned to the Calcutta High Court later that year. He has spent over 13 years as a high court judge and knows a lot about different areas of law.

Importantly, since Justice Altamas Kabir’s retirement as CJI in 2013, no judge from the Calcutta High Court has reached this top position. Justice Bagchi will take over as CJI after Justice KV Viswanathan retires on May 25, 2031. Currently, there is only one other judge, Justice Dipankar Datta, from the Calcutta High Court serving in the Supreme Court.

With Justice Bagchi’s appointment, the Supreme Court is now closer to its full strength of 34 judges. His knowledge in civil, criminal, and constitutional law is expected to be a huge help for the court in the future.
