Tribal Man Killed in Anti-Naxal Operation: Call for Investigation

A man named Hiran Singh Partha was killed during a police operation against Naxals (Maoists) in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh. Officials say he was a tribal member of the Baiga community and not a Maoist. The incident happened on March 9, but his identity was confirmed later on March 13. Police said Partha was in the jungle with Naxalites, but they don’t know why he was with them.

The opposition party, Congress, claims he was innocent and is asking for a detailed investigation. Congress Leader Narayan Singh Patta visited Partha’s village and spoke to his family. He said Partha was a good man who worked to support his family and might not have even known much about the Maoists.

After Partha was killed, the police arrested two other men who they say helped the Naxals by providing supplies. They have charged these men with serious crimes. A union leader for forest workers claimed that the two men are being falsely accused and plans to ask for their release.

Mumbai Indians Win 2nd WPL Title with Harmanpreet’s Amazing Performance

On Saturday, the Mumbai Indians (MI) celebrated winning their second Women’s Premier League (WPL) title by beating the Delhi Capitals (DC) by just eight runs. This match was held at the Brabourne Stadium and was a repeat of last year’s final.

Harmanpreet Kaur, the MI captain, played an amazing game, scoring 66 runs off 44 balls, which was the best score in MI’s total of 149 runs for 7 wickets. Over the season, she scored 302 runs, the highest among the top five players, and her performances helped MI shine with great all-round players. One of them, Nat Sciver-Brunt, was the tournament’s top scorer and also took three wickets in the final.

As Sciver-Brunt defended a tricky 14 runs in the last over, MI players cheered and huddled together. Sadly for DC, this was their third final loss, all against MI. Even though the total runs seemed a bit low, MI had a strong chance to defend their score, and they needed to get DC’s strong opening batsmen out early.

Nat Sciver-Brunt took the first breakthrough by bowling out Meg Lanning with a clever delivery. In the next over, Shafali Verma was out LBW thanks to a perfect delivery from Shabnim Ismail. With both openers dismissed early, DC was in a tough spot. They needed a good partnership to recover, but Amelia Kerr struck again, getting Jess Jonassen to edge a catch.

After Jess, Annabel Sutherland was run out, and the pressure was on Jemimah Rodrigues. She tried to fight back with a couple of good shots but was out when aiming to push a simple delivery from Kerr. Soon, Sarah Bryce was also out due to a run-out, and it was left to Marizanne Kapp and Niki Prasad to get DC back in the game. Kapp played well, hitting 17 runs in one over, but after she got out, the chances for DC faded quickly.

Earlier, Kapp chose to bowl first, which paid off as she and Shikha Pandey bowled tightly, troubling MI’s openers. Kapp got Hayley Matthews out, and the MI batters struggled, crawling to just 20 runs after the first six overs.

Harmanpreet and Sciver-Brunt worked together to recover for MI, scoring run after run. Sciver-Brunt became the first player to score over 500 runs in a single WPL season. Harmanpreet’s shots were impressive, and she completed her half-century in just 33 balls.

Though MI lost a few wickets towards the end, Harmanpreet had already done enough to secure the win. It was a great night for Mumbai Indians as they took home the trophy again!

US Strikes in Yemen: 24 Dead, Trump Warns Iran

On Saturday, the United States carried out airstrikes in Yemen, resulting in 24 deaths. These strikes aimed at the Houthi rebels, who are supported by Iran, to protect American interests. The US Central Command shared pictures of military jets taking off from an aircraft carrier and bombs hitting a building in Yemen.

President Donald Trump announced the military action on Truth Social. He said he ordered these strikes because the Houthi rebels had been attacking ships and posing a threat to the United States and its allies. He warned Iran to stop supporting the Houthis immediately, saying that the US would hold them accountable if they didn’t.

The Houthis responded by saying they were ready to fight back. They condemned the airstrikes as a cruel act by the US and UK. The Houthis had also declared plans to continue disrupting shipping in the Red Sea unless Israel lifted its blockade on aid for Palestinians.

Earlier in the month, the US labeled the Houthis as a “foreign terrorist organization,” stating they had attacked American and allied ships many times this year.

  • High Risk Storm Alert: Dangerous Tornadoes and Winds Coming!

High Risk Storm Alert: Dangerous Tornadoes and Winds Coming!

A massive storm is on its way to the southern United States, and weather experts are warning everyone to pay attention. This Saturday, March 15, 2025, the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has put out a serious alert called a “high risk.” This means there’s a big chance of dangerous tornadoes, really strong winds, and huge hailstones. This isn’t just a regular storm; it could cause a lot of damage across several states.

    What does “high risk” mean?
“High risk” is the most serious warning you can get about severe weather. It’s only issued when conditions are perfect for really bad storms. In the past, when this warning has been issued, it often led to tornadoes and serious destruction.

    Which States Should Worry?
The states in the most danger, marked in bright purple on weather maps, include:
    – Mississippi: Jackson, Hattiesburg, Meridian
    – Alabama: Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Montgomery
    – Louisiana: Shreveport, Monroe, Alexandria

People in these areas need to get ready for fast-changing weather and the chance of strong tornadoes.

Why is This Storm So Dangerous?
    1. Super Powerful Tornadoes:
Experts predict there will be lots of tornadoes, some could be very strong (EF3-EF5). These tornadoes could be very wide and stay on the ground for a long time.

    2. Large Hailstones:
Hail the size of baseballs (about 2.75 inches) could fall, breaking car windows and damaging buildings.

    3. Very Strong Winds:
Wind speeds may go over 75 mph. This could knock down trees, power lines, and cause power outages. Flying debris could be dangerous, so stay indoors!

Have We Seen a Warning Like This Before?
Yes, previous high-risk warnings led to terrible damage. For example:
    – May 6, 2024: A similar alert led to many tornadoes in Kansas and Oklahoma, wrecking homes and leaving people powerless.
    – March 31, 2023: A massive tornado outbreak hit the Mississippi River Valley, ruining buildings and taking lives.

What Can You Do to Stay Safe?
    1. Stay Updated:
Keep an eye on weather alerts from reliable sources like the National Weather Service and local news. Sign up for emergency alerts on your phone.

    2. Find a Safe Space:
The safest spots during a storm are basements or rooms without windows. If you live in a mobile home, go to a safer building.

    3. Prepare an Emergency Kit:
Pack essentials like water, food that doesn’t spoil, first-aid items, flashlights, and batteries. Make sure phones are charged!

    4. Follow Evacuation Orders:
If authorities say to evacuate, leave immediately. Don’t try to drive through floodwaters or areas with tornado warnings.

    What Happens After the Storm?
The severe weather could continue into Sunday, March 16, 2025. States like Georgia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas might still face heavy rain and tornado risks. Even places not in the main danger zone need to be careful.

    This Storm is Serious
This isn’t just another storm. When a “high risk” alert is issued, it often means life-threatening weather. Take action now: Stay informed, prepare your home, and have a safety plan. This storm could be historic—don’t get caught unprepared!

  • Trump’s Death Stare: Reporter Mic Mishap Goes Viral!

Trump’s Death Stare: Reporter Mic Mishap Goes Viral!

A recent encounter between an American reporter and Donald Trump became very popular online. The moment went viral after Trump made a funny yet sharp “death stare” at the reporter when her microphone accidentally hit him in the face while he was talking about Gaza.

The incident was caught on camera, and people quickly shared it on social media. The president raised his eyebrow and flashed an icy look at the reporter. Trump laughed and told her, “Did you see that?” mixing humor and irritation.

This awkward moment happened as Trump was getting ready to leave Washington DC. He was surrounded by reporters when one asked him about Gaza, and suddenly the reporter’s microphone bumped into his face.

People had mixed reactions to the video. Some found it funny, while others were surprised by Trump’s serious glare. There were even some wild theories, with one social media user suggesting that there might be dangerous substances, like anthrax, on the microphone, and that security should be stricter. Laura Loomer, a political activist, raised concerns about how close the microphone got to Trump, saying, “This just doesn’t seem right.”

In other news, the United States announced it wants to keep the ceasefire in Gaza going while talks continue for a permanent peace deal with Hamas. However, the U.S. said Hamas wants demands that are hard to meet. A spokesperson for Hamas praised Trump after he said, “Nobody is expelling any Palestinians from Gaza” during a meeting with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin.

  • Nitish Reddy Returns: SRH’s Key Player for IPL 2025 Season

Nitish Reddy Returns: SRH’s Key Player for IPL 2025 Season

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) just got a big boost ahead of the IPL 2025 season. All-rounder Nitish Reddy has passed his fitness test after healing from a side strain injury.

He couldn’t play for India in the Champions Trophy because of this injury, but now he is back in shape and scored 18 on the Yo-Yo test, which measures fitness levels. His return is exciting for SRH, especially since they lost in the finals against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) last year.

With Reddy back, SRH improves its batting and bowling strength, making them a stronger candidate to win the IPL 2025 title. The IPL will start on March 22, and SRH aims to set things right after last year’s defeat.

Nitish, who was kept by SRH in the mega-auction, will join the team’s practice camp starting Sunday. He had a solid performance in the 2024 IPL season, scoring 303 runs in 13 matches at a strike rate of 142.2 and taking three wickets.

Recently, Reddy played a practice match and bowled without any pain. The BCCI medical team looked after him, but his recovery took longer than expected.

At just 25 years old, Reddy has already made a mark, debuting in a T20I against Bangladesh and impressing the selectors. He even became the first Indian to score a century in Australia while batting at No. 8 during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2024.

Reddy started his IPL journey in 2023 but had a quiet season. However, last season he was crucial for SRH reaching the finals. With Reddy’s return, SRH is eager to kick off the IPL 2025 season strong.

Policeman Dances at RJD Leader’s Holi Bash: A Controversial Celebration

A policeman was caught dancing during a Holi celebration at the home of Tej Pratap Yadav, a leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), in Patna, Bihar. At the event, which took place on Saturday, Tej Pratap asked the constable named Deepak to dance. He joked, “Hey constable, we’ll play a song and you have to dance! Don’t worry, it’s Holi. If you don’t dance, you might get suspended!” Following this, the officer joined in and danced along to the music.

While celebrating Holi, Tej Pratap also took a fun ride on a scooter outside the Chief Minister’s residence. However, this act drew criticism. Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, Vijay Kumar Sinha, remarked that the RJD often disrespects the law and the Constitution. He stated, “They repeatedly insult those in important positions and lower their morale.”

During the festive atmosphere, Tej Pratap expressed confidence in his brother, Tejashwi Yadav, stating that he will become Bihar’s next chief minister. He urged everyone to enjoy Holi peacefully and confirmed that Tejashwi will be the CM this time.

As the state prepares for assembly elections later this year, RJD leaders are working hard to connect with the public. Though the election dates have not been announced, they are expected to be in October.

Holi, also known as Phaguwa in Bhojpuri, is celebrated with bonfires and colors, marking the legend of Holika. Meanwhile, Odisha’s Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan celebrated Holi, wishing good health and happiness for everyone. In Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta attended a Holi event and prayed at a local Gurudwara.

  • Grenade Attack on Amritsar Temple: Police Investigate ISI Link

Grenade Attack on Amritsar Temple: Police Investigate ISI Link

A grenade attack happened early Saturday morning outside the Thakur Dwara Temple in Amritsar, Punjab. The blast broke some walls and windows but thankfully, no one got hurt. The event was captured on CCTV, and police are investigating possible connections with Pakistan’s ISI.

In the footage, two people on a motorcycle approached the temple. One of them got off, looked around, and then threw a grenade at the building. They both quickly rode away. The explosion created sparks and a fire at the temple’s front.

Amritsar’s Police Chief, Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, said they received a call about the blast around 2 AM and sent a team to check things out. He mentioned that the CCTV video has been reviewed, and they have spoken to local residents for more information. Bhullar suggested that the ISI might be trying to send troublemakers into Punjab and promised to find the people responsible soon. He warned local youth not to get involved in illegal activities.

Punjab’s Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann, claimed that drones are being used to drop supplies from Pakistan but reassured everyone that Punjab is safe. State Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal also said that the situation is under control and the police will capture those responsible quickly.

Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla criticized the Punjab government, claiming that law and order has worsened since they took charge. He pointed out the recent string of grenade attacks, including on police stations, suggesting the police focus is misplaced.

Forensic teams are still working at the temple site as investigations continue.
