Mumbai: Remembering Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on Mahaparinirvan Diwas
On December 6, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar came together at Shivaji Park to honor Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a key figure in Indian history. This day, known as Mahaparinirvan Diwas, marks the anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar’s passing.

Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, born on April 14, 1891, was a great lawyer, economic thinker, politician, and social reformer. He fought hard for the rights of Dalits (the lower castes) and worked for equality, women’s rights, and workers’ rights. He dedicated his life to ending caste discrimination and believed in fairness for everyone.

The term “Mahaparinirvan” means “nirvana after death,” and this day is very important for Buddhists, as it symbolizes liberation from the continuous cycle of life and death. Dr. Ambedkar played a significant role in drafting the Indian Constitution and was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest honor, in 1990.

Dr. Ambedkar left us on December 6, 1956, in Delhi, but his incredible legacy continues to inspire many today.

Ola Electric will be in the spotlight this Friday because the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has asked for more information from the company. This is regarding a notice they sent earlier about possible problems with how Ola Electric treats its customers. Ola Electric received this email on December 4 and has 15 days to reply.

Hannah Kobayashi Missing: Family Fears for Safety Amid Confusing Search

Hannah Kobayashi, a 30-year-old photographer from Hawaii, went missing after missing her flight to New York and getting stuck in Los Angeles. Her sister, Sydni, and their lawyer, Sara Azari, talked about their family’s confusion and worry on NBC News. They said that the police have decided to call Hannah a “voluntary missing person,” meaning they think she left on her own.

Sydni is very worried because Hannah usually stays in touch. A video showed Hannah crossing into Mexico, and police said she looked okay, but her family is not convinced. The lawyer argued that saying someone is missing voluntarily should come after a more thorough search.

Sydni sent a message to Hannah, saying how much she is loved and that her family wants her to come home. The family is still hopeful and thanked the police for their help in finding Hannah. Tragically, while searching for her, Hannah’s dad, Ryan Kobayashi, died by suicide.

If you or someone you know is feeling hopeless or having thoughts of suicide, please reach out for help. You can call the National Suicide Hotline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

Nitish Reddy’s Journey: From Kohli Fan to Test Player!

Nitish Kumar Reddy: From Dreaming of Kohli to Playing Alongside Him

Nitish Kumar Reddy, a 21-year-old cricketer, recently shared his exciting journey from being a fan of Virat Kohli to making his Test debut for India in Perth. Growing up, Nitish always dreamed of playing cricket with his idol, Virat. He often thought about how old he would be when he finally had the chance to play alongside him before Kohli retired.

That dream came true when Kohli gave him his first Test cap before India played Australia. India won the match by an impressive 295 runs, starting the series with a big lead. After his debut, a photo of Nitish taking a selfie with Kohli went viral. In the picture, Kohli was a bit far away and not looking at the camera, but Nitish found it special and called it his “safety photo.” He said, “I took this picture because I might not get another chance. It reminds me of my childhood dreams.”

During the game, Nitish was more excited about Kohli’s performance than his own. Nitish shared, “I was watching Kohli closely as he approached his hundred. I didn’t even realize I was close to my own fifty. I was so thrilled when he scored his 81st hundred—it was an amazing moment!”

    KL Rahul’s Helpful Advice

Nitish also talked about how he felt nervous being around more experienced players. But KL Rahul helped him feel comfortable. “At first, I was worried about talking to everyone. I always felt good talking to KL bhai. He gives me great advice,” Nitish explained.

One important tip from Rahul stuck with Nitish: “Macha, when you’re out there, don’t rush. Just take it slow.” This was helpful for him, especially since everything felt so fast during his first match. He was thankful for Rahul’s support.

Diddy Combs Demands Laptop Access Amid Serious Legal Battle

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, the famous rapper and founder of Bad Boy Records, is currently at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn. He was arrested in September and is faced with serious charges like sex trafficking and racketeering, which he completely denies.

In a recent letter to the court, Diddy expressed worry about not being able to use a laptop for his case. His lawyers say that he needs it to look at important documents related to his trial. They mentioned that a laptop was sent to the MDC for him to use on November 25, 2024, but he still hasn’t been allowed to use it after nine days.

His attorneys complained that the rules for him are unfair compared to other inmates. They also pointed out that they are worried the government is keeping an eye on Diddy’s handwritten notes, which they consider private. Earlier, the government took away some papers that contained private conversations between Diddy and his lawyers, which shouldn’t have happened.

Diddy’s lawyers argue that these actions go against his rights, and they want the court to help him get access to the laptop. Diddy, who insists he is innocent, is preparing for a trial set to happen in May 2025.

  • Punjab Farmers Begin ‘Dilli Chalo’ March Amid Tight Security and Protests

Punjab Farmers Begin ‘Dilli Chalo’ March Amid Tight Security and Protests

Today, farmers from Punjab started their ‘Dilli Chalo’ march from the Shambhu border, aiming to reach Delhi. In response, the Ambala district of Haryana has set rules to prevent large crowds from gathering. This means that police are keeping a close watch and have increased security at the Shambhu border on NH-44 for safety reasons.

Many farmers are calling for support to get fair prices for their crops, relief from debts, pensions, and a say in land acquisition laws. They also want help for families who lost members during previous protests and justice for those affected in the 2021 Lakhimpur Kheri incident.

A group of over 100 farmers, led by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha, plans to begin their march to the Parliament around 1 PM. Recently, around 5,000 farmers from Uttar Pradesh faced delays when trying to protest near the Noida-Delhi border. Heavy security and barriers caused significant traffic jams, affecting many commuters.

In a recent Supreme Court hearing, judges reminded everyone that while peaceful protests are allowed, people should not cause problems for others. Some farmers have been at the borders for weeks, after their attempts to march to Delhi were stopped earlier, resulting in tragic incidents.
