Badshah Denies Traffic Violation Claims After ₹15,500 Fine in Gurugram

Famous rapper Badshah has recently been in trouble after news spread that he was fined ₹15,500 for driving on the wrong side of the road in Gurugram. This incident supposedly happened on December 15 when he was heading to a concert by fellow Punjabi singer Karan Aujla. However, Badshah quickly denied these claims, saying he doesn’t even have a Mahindra Thar, the vehicle mentioned in the reports.

    Here’s what happened:

On December 15, Gurugram Traffic Police said they issued a fine of over ₹15,000 after a Mahindra Thar carrying Badshah was caught driving illegally. Reports stated that he was part of a convoy of three vehicles that took a wrong turn, which upset many people.

Virender Vij, the traffic police chief, explained that the Thar was actually registered to someone named Dipender Hooda. The total fine issued to Hooda was ₹15,500 for dangerous driving and going the wrong way.

    Badshah’s Response

When these stories started going around on social media, Badshah reacted by posting on Instagram. He wrote, “Brother, I don’t own a Thar and I wasn’t driving that day. I was in a white Vellfire, and we always drive safely.” He shared his message alongside the classic song “Ae Bhai Zara Dekh Ke Chalo” by Manna Dey.

    Statement from His Team

Badshah’s team also released a statement to clear things up. They said, “We want to address the false claims about Badshah being involved in a traffic violation after the concert. He was a passenger in a white Toyota Vellfire that was driven by a professional driver. We had multiple vehicles to ensure everyone was safe, and Badshah did not drive at any time.” They also mentioned that no fines were given to any vehicles linked to Badshah that night.

s India’s Flight Prices Getting Out of Control?

Many people are talking about an issue with flight prices in India. A user on social media pointed out that a ticket on Indigo Airlines from Delhi to Kannur in Kerala costs about ₹22,000. Dr. Shama Mohamed, who is part of the Congress party, shared a photo showing this expensive ticket on X, saying that it’s cheaper to fly from India to Dubai than to travel within India.

Dr. Mohamed criticized the rising cost of tickets, mentioning that flying within the country is getting too expensive. She wrote, “Ticket pricing of Indigo from Delhi to Kannur on the 22nd is ₹22,000! It’s cheaper to go to Dubai! This is the problem with having only a few companies managing flights.”

Her post got a lot of attention. Some people agreed, saying that flights are now more costly than ever and hard to afford for most people. Others argued that flying to a less popular place like Kannur right before Christmas would naturally be more expensive because many people want to travel during that time.

One user named Swathi said, “When you book a flight last minute to a small place like Kannur during the Christmas holidays, the price will be high.” Another user pointed out that when Air India was run by the government, flights were cheaper and allowed for more luggage.

Many people feel that since the COVID-19 pandemic, flying has become much more expensive. The high demand for flights, along with fewer available seats, has caused ticket prices to increase sharply. Some users mentioned that ticket prices in India change a lot, especially during holidays, long weekends, and busy travel times.

67-Year-Old Scammed RM2.2 Million in Love Scheme for Almost 10 Years”

A 67-year-old woman in Malaysia lost over RM2.2 million (about INR 4.3 crore) to a love scam that lasted nearly ten years! She never met the scammer face-to-face.

It all started back in October 2017 when she connected with a man on Facebook. He pretended to be an American businessman who worked with medical equipment in Singapore. After talking for a month, they formed an online relationship. He claimed he wanted to come to Malaysia but needed help with travel costs. Trusting him, she first sent him RM5,000.

Over the years, the scammer asked for money again and again, saying he had personal problems and business troubles. The woman ended up sending money 306 times to 50 different bank accounts, losing a total of RM2,210,692.60. She even took loans from family and friends to help him.

Throughout this time, she never saw the man’s face or had a video call with him. He always made excuses and only spoke to her through voice calls. The woman finally realized she had been tricked in November after talking to a friend about her situation.

The police are warning people to be careful with online relationships, especially when money is involved. They advise not to rush into serious relationships and to be skeptical if someone asks for money or personal details right away.

Indian Stock Markets Plunge: Investors Worry Ahead of Fed Decision

On Wednesday, December 18, early trading saw the Indian stock markets, Sensex and Nifty, drop due to investors pulling out money and waiting for an important decision from the US Federal Reserve about interest rates. The BSE Sensex, which tracks the top 30 companies, fell by 149.31 points to reach 80,535.14 points. The NSE Nifty, another main index, decreased by 62.9 points, settling at 24,273.10.

Among the big companies in the Sensex, Tata Motors, Power Grid, Larson & Toubro, Adani Ports, Maruti, and NTPC saw the biggest drops. In contrast, some companies like Reliance Industries, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra, Hindustan Unilever, Asian Paints, and ITC managed to gain some points.

Foreign investors sold shares worth ₹6,409.86 crore on Tuesday, as reported by Niftystat. The day before, both Sensex and Nifty fell by more than 1%, with Sensex dropping below the 81,000 points. This decline was because of a general sell-off as traders waited for the US Fed’s decision on interest rates.

The total drop was felt across all 30 major stocks in the Sensex, with Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank, JSW Steel, Tata Consultancy Services, and HDFC Bank being among the biggest losers. Stocks in the telecom, metals, and auto sectors took hard hits.

Globally, markets were not doing well either. Asian countries like South Korea, Japan, China, and Hong Kong all saw their markets fall. European markets were generally down, while the US markets showed mixed results.

Meta Fined €250M for Major Facebook Data Breach Affecting Millions

Meta, the company that runs Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram, was fined over €250 million because of a data breach. This breach affected about 29 million Facebook accounts worldwide, with around 3 million of those accounts in the EU/EEA. The problem was reported by Meta back in September 2018.

The personal information that got exposed included users’ full names, email addresses, phone numbers, work locations, birth dates, religions, genders, posts, and even information about their kids. Unauthorized people took advantage of user tokens on Facebook to access this data. Though Meta fixed the issue quickly in Ireland and the US, the damage was already done.

The Irish Data Protection Commission decided to fine Meta €251 million due to this serious problem. Graham Doyle, a Deputy Commissioner, said that the breach created a big risk of misuse of people’s information. He stressed the importance of having data protection in place right from the start to keep individuals safe. The breach allowed unauthorized people to view sensitive details like users’ political or religious beliefs, which could lead to significant risks.

Bumrah Sets New Record for Most Wickets by an Asian Bowler in Australia!

On Tuesday, Jasprit Bumrah broke a record set by Indian cricket legend Kapil Dev when he took two quick wickets during Australia’s second innings in the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. With these wickets, Bumrah became the Asian bowler with the most wickets in Australia—52 wickets in just 10 Test matches!

In his impressive performance, Bumrah first bowled out Usman Khawaja in the third over with a clever delivery that hit the inside edge and then knocked down the off stump. Just one over later, he took down Marnus Labuschagne with a well-placed length ball, and Rishabh Pant caught the edge behind the stumps.

Bumrah’s achievements do not stop there. He has been the best bowler in the series, capturing 21 wickets in six innings at an extraordinary average of 10.71, much better than opponents like Mitchell Starc. This makes Bumrah the sixth Indian bowler ever to take 20 or more wickets on a tour of Australia.

His total includes two five-wicket hauls—one in Perth, where he led the team in place of Rohit Sharma, and the second in Brisbane. Remarkably, Bumrah matched his wicket tally from the 2018/19 series, becoming only the second Indian bowler to achieve this milestone in Australia. Anil Kumble was the first, with 24 wickets in 2003/04 and 20 in 2007/08.
