This week is a special time for Cancer individuals to grow emotionally and gain insight into themselves. As the Moon moves from your sign to your Fourth House, you will likely feel more aware of your feelings. Starting on April 7th, when the Moon enters Cancer, you might experience increased intuition and sensitivity. This is a perfect day to think about your goals and what matters most in your life.
On April 7th, Mercury also starts moving direct in Pisces, which is in your Ninth House of Fortune. Even though Mercury has challenges in Pisces, its forward movement brings opportunities for learning and traveling far. Just be cautious about misunderstandings with teachers or during legal matters. If you have been thinking about travel, now is a good time to make plans, but be aware of possible confusion in decision-making.
As the Moon shifts to Leo on April 8th, your focus will shift to money, communication, and family values. You might experience strong emotions when dealing with family, but luck is on your side regarding money. It’s also a great time to clearly express your thoughts, but avoid unnecessary spending that comes from emotional urges.
By April 10th, when the Moon enters Virgo, you might feel more talkative and active. This is a great time for writing or chatting with siblings and neighbors. Pay attention to the small details; your mental energy will be high!
On April 13th, the Moon moves into Libra, bringing your attention back to home and comfort. Focus on building family connections and taking time for yourself to recharge emotionally.
The same day, Venus also moves direct in Pisces, enhancing your luck and creativity. This is an excellent time for education and travel, making it a good period to engage in spiritual practices and connect with opportunities from abroad.
In summary, this week is great for Cancer folks to find balance in their emotions, gain clarity on long-term goals, and create harmony at home. Listen to your intuition and let it guide you.

Harry Brook Appointed New Captain of England’s ODI and T20 Teams
Big news in cricket! The England and Wales Cricket Board announced on Monday that Harry Brook is the new captain for England’s One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 (T20) teams. He takes over from Jos Buttler, who stepped down after a tough Champions Trophy in Pakistan last month.
Harry, who is 26 years old, has been playing for the white-ball teams since he debuted in 2022. As of now, he ranks second in the ICC Test batting rankings and has been Buttler’s right-hand man for the past year. Brook shared his excitement about the new role, saying, “It’s a real honor to be named England’s white-ball captain. Since I was a kid playing cricket, I dreamed of representing Yorkshire and maybe one day leading the team. This opportunity means a lot to me.”
Harry has led England in an ODI series against Australia and has also captained the England Lions team and the U19 team during the 2018 World Cup in New Zealand. He expressed his gratitude to his family and coaches for their support: “Their belief in me makes all the difference, and I wouldn’t be here without them.”

Pakistan Cricket Struggles: Calls for Change in Management and Format
Things aren’t going well for Pakistan cricket right now. After a disappointing performance in the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, where they couldn’t move past the group stage, the team faced an even tougher time. Pakistan lost all three matches in a one-day series against New Zealand and was beaten 1-4 in a five-match T20 series against the same team.
Former Pakistan player Basit Ali has openly criticized the team’s selectors and head coach, Aaqib Javed, saying they should quit because of the poor results. Basit highlighted that the team made a mistake by choosing only one main spinner, Abrar Ahmad, for such a big tournament. Many experts felt the selections for the Champions Trophy were wrong, and Basit believes the management is making bad choices.
He warned that if the current selectors and coach don’t change, Pakistan might lose its upcoming series against Bangladesh. Basit even said, “Even a tomato seller knows more than the current management,” meaning that mistakes have been obvious to everyone.
He also suggested that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, should look into things and consider organizing the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in a T10 format. Basit thinks this could help star players like Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam improve their hitting skills.
Earlier, Pakistan was knocked out of the Champions Trophy after losing to New Zealand and India, with their last game against Bangladesh being canceled due to rain. Another former player, Sikander Bakht, has called for the PCB to revoke players’ central contracts until they win the Asia Cup or a World Cup.
What’s more troubling for Pakistan is that New Zealand didn’t even bring their strongest team, as many players were busy with the Indian Premier League (IPL). -

Pakistan Stock Exchange Plummets: Shocking Fall Leaves Investors Shocked
On Monday, trading at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) stopped for an hour because the KSE-100 index dropped by over 8,000 points. Financial experts say this huge drop happened due to worries about a possible global recession.
When trading resumed after the break, the market fell by an additional 2,000 points, leading to an all-time high loss of 8,600 points in one day. The index ended the day at 114,909.48, a decline of 3,882.18 points or 3.27% from the previous closing.
Uzma Khan, a financial expert from Arif Habib Securities, explained that automatic circuit breakers are in place to help prevent panic selling. These break periods allow investors to pause and think during times of extreme market changes. She noted that many investors are anxious about a global recession, especially after the United States raised tariffs and other countries responded.
Before trading was stopped, the KSE-100 index had already dropped by 6,287.22 points, or 5.29%, by 11:58 am. When trading started again, the index dropped even further, going down by a total of 8,687.69 points, or 7.31%, to reach 110,103.97 by 1:15 pm. Zaheer Khan’s Coaching Aspirations and Impact on Young Cricketers
Zaheer Khan, a famous former cricketer and mentor for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), is helping young players improve their game. Zaheer was a star bowler in India’s 2011 World Cup-winning team, taking 21 wickets in just 9 matches. He even received the Arjuna Award, which is a big honor for sports in India.
Recently, at an event in Kolkata, Zaheer was asked if he would like to coach the Indian cricket team. He smiled and jokingly said, “How can I coach if I don’t apply?” When asked again, he quickly replied, “It would be an honor to coach Team India.” His future as a coach would be beneficial because he has a lot of experience from the Indian Premier League (IPL). He worked with the Mumbai Indians and played a key role in developing star bowler Jasprit Bumrah before moving to LSG.
Zaheer believes the IPL is great for finding new cricket talent. He said, “Before, many talented players would give up because they had few chances. Now, more players are sticking around and dreaming of playing for an IPL team, which helps them get to the national team.” He enjoys watching younger players learn from experienced players like Nicholas Pooran and Rishabh Pant, which is very important for Indian cricket’s continued success.
Currently, LSG is in sixth place in the IPL 2025 points table, with two wins and two losses. They have a new team and a new captain, Rishabh Pant. Meanwhile, India’s team is coached by Gautam Gambhir, who recently led them to victory in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. Rahul Dravid, the previous coach, helped the team win the T20 World Cup.

Turkey’s Defense Plans Face Israeli Air Strikes in Syria
Turkey has been checking out at least three air bases in Syria where it could send its military forces. This was part of a plan to work together with other nations in defense, but Israel bombed these bases this week. This air attack shows the increasing tension between Turkey and Israel, especially now that Islamist rebels have taken over Syria after getting rid of the old leader, Bashar al-Assad, in December.
Israel is worried about the Islamist group near its border, which has led it to ask the United States to limit Turkey’s influence in Syria. Turkey has always supported those opposing Assad and wants to play a significant role in the new Syria. This involvement might include setting up new Turkish bases in the center of Syria and using its airspace.
Recently, Turkish military teams visited the T4 and Palmyra bases in Syria. They looked at the condition of the runways and hangars to prepare for military plans. However, a visit meant to happen on March 25 was called off because Israel attacked the bases just hours before.
After these strikes, the T4 air base was badly damaged, making it unusable. An intelligence official mentioned that the airstrikes were a clear warning from Israel that it wouldn’t accept an increased Turkish presence in Syria. When asked about the visits, a Turkish defense official said that unofficial reports shouldn’t be trusted as they might be misleading.
Turkey’s foreign ministry stressed that Israel is the biggest threat to regional security, but Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said they didn’t want to confront Israel in Syria. In the months since Assad’s fall, Israel has taken control of areas in southwest Syria and damaged a lot of military equipment there. The recent Israeli strikes were among the most severe to date.
Syria’s foreign ministry stated that Israel hit multiple places, leading to significant destruction and many injuries. Israeli leaders warned that these actions are for ensuring the nation’s safety. Some experts believe Israel fears that Turkey may set up military systems that could challenge its air superiority in the area.
Turkey has been trying to assure the U.S. that it wants peace and stability in Syria. Fidan told U.S. officials that the new Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa won’t be a threat to neighbors. Turkish officials have been considering how to proceed without upsetting the U.S.
One Turkish official noted that Turkey would suffer the most if Syria became unstable. A researcher stated that while Turkey and Israel have different views, they could avoid military conflict by discussing it with the U.S.

Bengaluru’s Women Safety Crisis: Minister’s Controversial Remarks Spark Outrage
Karnataka’s home minister, G Parameshwara, caused a stir recently by saying that sexual harassment incidents happen often in big cities. This statement came after a video went viral showing a woman being groped in Bengaluru’s BTM layout late at night last week. The video, taken with a CCTV camera, showed two women walking in an alley when a man, who seemed to be following them, suddenly approached, attacked one of them, and then ran away.
The incident happened at around 1:52 am on April 3, and has raised major concerns about women’s safety in the city. Although the women have not reported the case, the Bengaluru police are taking action on their own. They have filed charges against the attacker under a law that punishes anyone who tries to disrobe a woman.
Sexual harassment is a serious issue in Bengaluru. Just this January, a 24-year-old woman was harassed by two men who jumped into her cab as she was getting in. The men first fought with the cab driver, and when the woman tried to escape, one of them grabbed her neck while the other tried to rip her clothes off. She screamed for help, and luckily, the men ran away.
Authorities have promised to increase police patrols to keep women safer in the city and take necessary legal actions against such crimes.
