A man from the U.S. had to have both of his legs amputated after a serious accident during a camping trip. Max Armstrong, age 40, was out camping with friends in Colorado in December 2024. While cooking pasta, he accidentally burned his thumb on a hot pan. At first, he didn’t think much of it.

However, a few days later, his left leg began to swell, and his toenails turned purple. A week after the burn, he went to the hospital.
