Man Arrested for Attacking Arvind Kejriwal During Public Walk

On Saturday, a man was arrested for throwing a liquid on Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), during his walk through south Delhi. Kejriwal was greeting people when the man, Ashok Jha, ran up and splashed him with the liquid. Quick-acting security grabbed Jha right away. Kejriwal and his team then had to wipe their faces clean.

Jha works as a bus marshal at Khanpur Depot and lives nearby. The police said they caught him immediately and are investigating why he did it. Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj claimed that Jha wanted to burn Kejriwal. He said Jha had a bottle of spirit (like rubbing alcohol) and a matchbox, but he couldn’t start a fire because of the quick response from others.

After the incident, AAP blamed the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the attack, citing the rise in violence and crime in Delhi. Bharadwaj expressed concern about safety in the city and stated that the government is not doing enough to protect people.

Arvind Kejriwal Attacked Again: Concerns Over Delhi’s Safety

On Saturday, a tense situation occurred in Greater Kailash, Delhi, when a man threw a liquid at former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal during his campaign. A video showed this man trying to reach for Kejriwal, but quick-action security guards stopped him. After the incident, Kejriwal was seen wiping his face.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) quickly blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for this attack. Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj spoke out, saying that crime is increasing in Delhi, with violent incidents happening regularly. He mentioned a gym owner being murdered and another person being stabbed nearby, all while claiming that Kejriwal has been continuously targeted.

Bharadwaj said, “If a former chief minister isn’t safe in Delhi, how can regular people feel secure?” He accused the central government and the Home Minister of failing to maintain order in the city.

The man responsible for the attack, who was said to live in the area, was taken to the local police station for questioning. This incident follows another claim by AAP that Kejriwal was attacked during a march in Vikaspuri just last month. AAP chief minister Atishi expressed concern about the BJP’s tactics, suggesting that the party is desperate since they cannot beat AAP in elections.

  • BJP Challenges Congress on EVM Integrity After Maharashtra Elections

BJP Challenges Congress on EVM Integrity After Maharashtra Elections

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is criticizing the Congress party for raising doubts about the fairness of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia suggested that Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, should resign from their positions and promise to run for office only if paper ballots are used again. He believes this action would show that Congress truly trusts their claims. Bhatia stated that if the Congress leaders do not do this, then their complaints are just empty talk.

Bhatia also encouraged Congress to take their concerns to court, pointing out that the Supreme Court has already confirmed that the Election Commission is trustworthy and EVMs are reliable.

It was noted that it is ironic for Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to question the election system on the same day Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, from Congress, was sworn in as the Member of Parliament for Vayanad in Kerala. Bhatia said Congress will soon be just a part of history.

In the recent Maharashtra Assembly elections, the BJP-led coalition won a huge victory with 233 out of 288 seats. The BJP alone took 132 seats, while its partners, the Shiv Sena and NCP, won 57 and 41 seats, respectively. The Congress party made a complaint to the Election Commission, alleging problems in vote counting. However, the Election Commission dismissed these claims and invited Congress representatives to discuss the matter on December 3.

BJP’s Shocking Claims: AAP MLA Caught in Extortion Controversy

Recently, the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) accused the AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) of extorting money. They shared an audio recording that they claim shows a conversation between an AAP MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) and a gangster. In the clip, the MLA apparently talks about taking money from people.

The BJP leaders say this conversation reveals corruption in AAP. They urge the police to investigate the matter further. However, the AAP responded by calling the audio fake and said it is just an attempt to damage their reputation.

This controversy has caused a lot of discussions among people in Delhi. Many citizens are worried about corruption in politics and want leaders to act honestly. The situation continues to develop, and both parties are standing firm in their claims.

Rahul Gandhi Protests Modi’s Support for Gautam Adani in Wayanad Speech

Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in India’s Lok Sabha (the lower house of Parliament), expressed strong criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a public meeting in Wayanad. He accused Modi of giving special treatment to billionaire businessman Gautam Adani.

Gandhi emphasized an important point: “In the Lok Sabha, we are fighting for equality and respect. All people should be treated the same, but Prime Minister Modi seems to say that Adani deserves different treatment.” Gandhi mentioned that even when Adani faces serious accusations in the United States, the Indian government is not taking action against him.

The Congress party and other opposition groups are calling for serious action against Adani, who has been accused of wrongdoing by U.S. prosecutors. Gandhi argued that the ruling party has all the power, including control over the media and government agencies, whereas the opposition only has the support and feelings of the people. He believes this support will help them overcome the ruling party’s ideology.

During his speech, Gandhi also introduced his sister, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who has been elected as a new member of Parliament from Wayanad. He shared a moment from the past, saying he remembered taking his oath in the Parliament when she was about to do the same. He said her election was proof of the people’s love and support.

  • Power-Sharing Talks: Who Will Be Maharashtra’s Next Chief Minister?

Power-Sharing Talks: Who Will Be Maharashtra’s Next Chief Minister?

Union Home Minister Amit Shah met with leaders of three political parties in the Mahayuti alliance led by the BJP on Thursday night. They talked about how the power will be shared in the state’s new government. The BJP will have the Chief Minister’s position, and two deputy chief ministers are expected to be from their allies, the Shiv Sena and the NCP.

The BJP will decide who their new chief minister will be on Saturday during a meeting in Mumbai. If they pick Devendra Fadnavis, he might keep the home ministry, while the NCP is expected to get the finance ministry. The Shiv Sena may get important departments like urban development and public works.

The meeting with Amit Shah lasted for two hours. They also discussed how cabinet positions will be divided based on how many seats each party won. The BJP is likely to take 22 out of 43 cabinet positions, while the Shiv Sena and NCP are expected to receive 12 and 9 positions, respectively.

Both the Shiv Sena and NCP want at least one spot in the central government. The NCP is keen on having Praful Patel as part of the Modi government.

Eknath Shinde, who is the current caretaker chief minister, might give up his position as deputy chief minister for his son, Shrikant Shinde. It seems he would rather serve in the Union Cabinet instead, allowing him to focus on growing his party ahead of upcoming civic elections in Mumbai.

Sena spokesperson Sanjay Shirsat mentioned that Eknath Shinde prefers to give good roles to his workers instead of taking the deputy CM job himself.

There’s talk in political circles that the BJP may surprise everyone with its choice of chief minister, considering comments from ex-BJP chief, Chandrakant Patil, who hinted at “experiments” with leadership.

Earlier, the BJP’s general secretary Vinod Tawde also met with Amit Shah to discuss the state’s caste makeup and the importance of having a Maratha chief minister, especially due to community protests for reservations.

The BJP plans to send observers to Mumbai to hear opinions from MLAs on the chief minister role. They are expected to arrive on Saturday, with the new government likely to be sworn in by Monday or Tuesday.

Ajit Pawar from the NCP assured there was no fighting over cabinet posts and that decisions would be made in a friendly environment. He and other NCP leaders discussed their demands before being prompted to meet with Amit Shah.

Finally, Eknath Shinde plans a state tour next week to connect with the community and support the ‘Ladki Bahin Yojana,’ which helps women in Maharashtra

Maharashtra Government Update: Amit Shah’s Key Meetings in New Delhi

On Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will meet with Maharashtra’s caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in New Delhi. They will discuss forming a new government and who will be the next chief minister.

Ajit Pawar announced that the three leaders will gather to talk about selecting the chief minister and appointing two deputy chief ministers. This meeting comes after Eknath Shinde promised Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he would support the BJP’s choice for the next CM.

Shinde’s statement was made after his Shiv Sena party urged him to continue as the chief minister, especially since the ruling alliance won a significant victory under his leadership. Now, it seems that BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis might take over as the new chief minister.

In a press conference, Shinde said that he is ready to accept whatever decision is made about the next CM. “I called PM Modi and Amit Shah and told them to pick whoever they think is best,” Shinde said. He emphasized, “Our Shiv Sena will support the BJP’s choice without any problems.”

Ajit Pawar mentioned that the new chief minister will likely be sworn in around November 30 or December 1, and there will be two deputy chief ministers in the new government.

When asked if he was upset about not continuing as CM, Shinde said there is no anger. “We have worked together as a team,” he assured, adding, “For me, being chief minister isn’t everything; I am here to serve the people.”

In the recent assembly elections, the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance made a strong comeback, winning 230 out of 288 seats. The BJP secured 132 seats, more than any other party. Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s NCP also performed well, winning 57 and 41 seats, respectively. Meanwhile, the Congress-led opposition faced a big loss, securing only 16 seats

  • Akhilesh Yadav’s Powerful Response to Sambhal Violence

Akhilesh Yadav’s Powerful Response to Sambhal Violence

Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, spoke out on Wednesday against the Uttar Pradesh government’s plan to make protesters pay for damages caused during the recent violence in Sambhal. He suggested that the government should also share photos of BJP supporters who were shouting slogans during the incident.

The violence in Sambhal happened on Sunday, leading to the deaths of four people. It started because of a survey of an old mosque, which some say replaced a Hindu temple.

Yadav claimed that the BJP has a habit of pressuring officials to win elections and said this incident was staged to distract people. He criticized the BJP for not following the country’s Constitution, accusing them of using unfair methods to gain votes. He said that if EVMs (voting machines) were examined closely, it would show irregularities.

He also called on the Supreme Court to look into claims that Uttar Pradesh police coerced the families of the violence victims. According to Yadav, police threatened them and made them sign blank papers, which is illegal. He urged the Supreme Court to take action against those responsible.

So far, police have filed seven FIRs, with four of them from the families of the deceased. They arrested a total of 27 people, including three women and three minors. The police also named SP MP Zia Ur Rehman Barq as someone who allegedly fueled the violence. Barq claimed the police were trying to cover up their mistakes by blaming him.

He stood firm, saying he would always voice the needs and rights of his people to get them the justice they deserve

Maharashtra Election Results: BJP’s Victory and CM Uncertainty

In the recent Maharashtra assembly elections, the BJP won 132 out of 280 seats, making it the biggest party. Its allies, Shiv Sena, led by Eknath Shinde, got 57 seats, and the NCP, led by Ajit Pawar, secured 41 seats. The elections took place on November 20, with results announced on November 23.

Eknath Shinde, who was the Chief Minister, resigned and is now the caretaker CM until a new government is formed. There is still uncertainty about who will be the Chief Minister from the Mahayuti alliance, which includes BJP, Shiv Sena, and the NCP.

Ramdas Athawale, a leader from the RPI(A) and a close ally of the BJP, called for the decision about the new Chief Minister to be made quickly. He suggested that Shinde might want to move to the Centre and become a Union minister instead. Athawale supported Devendra Fadnavis, another senior BJP leader, as the next Chief Minister, saying that since the BJP won the most seats, they should get the top job in the state.

Athawale mentioned that there is some disagreement about who should lead. While the BJP leaders want Fadnavis for Chief Minister, Shiv Sena leaders want Shinde to stay in charge because of his good work over the past two and a half years. Athawale noted that Shinde is not very happy about the possibility of Fadnavis being chosen, but he believes a decision must be made soon.
