Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal at Maha Kumbh Mela 2025: A Holy Dip

As the grand Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 comes to a close, Isha Ambani, daughter of business tycoon Mukesh Ambani, and her husband Anand Piramal were spotted offering prayers and taking a holy dip at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj. The couple visited this sacred site on the second-last day of the festival, joining millions of other people in this important spiritual event.

A video shared by news agencies shows Isha and Anand immersing themselves in the waters of Triveni Sangam, which is where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers meet. Taking a dip here is believed to wash away bad feelings and bring peace, making it a vital part of Hindu tradition.

Isha and Anand weren’t the only famous faces at the event. Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon and her family were also seen enjoying a holy dip at the same spot. This shows that the Maha Kumbh Mela is popular not just among regular devotees but also among celebrities.

This year’s Maha Kumbh Mela has become one of the largest spiritual gatherings in India, with around 600 million people visiting the Sangam for a holy bath. The Uttar Pradesh government has predicted that this number could reach 650 million by the time the festival ends on Maha Shivratri (February 26).

The Maha Kumbh Mela, which started on January 12, takes place every 12 years. It is known for its deep spiritual meaning and huge scale. Millions of saints, devotees, and spiritual seekers come from all over the world to celebrate this cherished event in Hindu culture.

  • Love, Loss, and Legacy: What Will We Be Remembered For?

Love, Loss, and Legacy: What Will We Be Remembered For?

It’s just a few months into the New Year, and I’ve already attended two weddings and two funerals. Watching these events close together made me think about love and death. They are more connected than we might realize.

One of the funerals was for my uncle. Listening to people share their memories of him was touching. They spoke about how kind he was, how curious he was about the world, and how he treated everyone, from politicians to everyday folks, with respect. This got me pondering: what will people say about you when you’re gone? What would they remember about you at your memorial service? This brings up an important question: who are you, and how do you show yourself to the world?

From what I’ve seen lately at funerals, it seems like people remember your character more than your job. Unless you’ve invented something groundbreaking, how you treated others really matters. At memorials, people often talk about being kind, warm, funny, and honest. These are the qualities that make us human.

As we get older, many people embrace their quirks. They’ve stopped pretending to be someone they’re not. In a way, meeting older folks can be refreshing because they show you the beauty of being real and authentic.

But can you be genuine in your forties or fifties without waiting until you’re older? It’s tough because life is full of roles—we are siblings, parents, and friends all at once. Each role has its own expectations. Sometimes you have to hold back what you really feel just to keep the peace.

Recently, I had a thought: maybe I should tell my mother how much she means to me. When I suggested this to my husband, he said, “That’s not my style. I show love in small ways.”

This brings up a larger question: do our loved ones know how we feel? We often tell our kids how much we love them, but what about our parents? My mother, who is now 86, doesn’t say “I love you,” but her love shines through her actions. For example, when I mention writing about sarees, she asks others for tips, showing that she cares about what I do.

As we just celebrated Valentine’s Day and are approaching Holi, which both honor love, it’s a good moment to think about expressing love for those we might overlook: our parents.

Odisha School: Teenage Girl Gives Birth, Police Investigate Rape

In Malkangiri, Odisha, a sad situation has come to light. A 15-year-old girl, a student at a state-run residential school, gave birth on the rooftop of her hostel just hours after taking her annual exams. The girl, who is in Class 10, was living at a school meant for children from scheduled castes and scheduled tribes.

She has now been moved to a nearby hospital for care. The school’s headmaster, Ajit Madkami, stated that the warden and a nurse should be held responsible because they checked on the girls, but didn’t notice the girl was pregnant. “They come to the hostel once a week for health checks. I’m not sure how this happened,” he said.

The girl’s father was worried too. A teacher had called him to come to the school, and when he got there, he found out that his daughter had given birth. He mentioned that the girls usually stay in the hostel and don’t go home often. “How did no one know she was pregnant?” he asked.

Local police officer Pradosh Pradhan announced that they have filed a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and other laws concerning rape. They are working to arrest the man accused of the crime, who is 22 years old and from a nearby village.

In Odisha, there are over 158,000 girls studying in schools run by the state. Since 2010, 21 similar pregnancy cases have been reported, making this the first one in 2023.

To prevent these incidents, the state government has assigned 3,000 caregivers and 336 health workers to check on the students frequently. They are also conducting regular health check-ups. Strict rules are now in place so that no male person can enter the hostel without a woman present.

A 2021 report showed that many hostels lacked proper security and safety measures, with 70% having no boundary walls.

  • CBSE to Hold Class 10 Board Exams Twice Yearly from 2026

CBSE to Hold Class 10 Board Exams Twice Yearly from 2026

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that starting in 2026, students in Class 10 will take their board exams two times a year! This means more chances to succeed!

The first test will happen from February 17 to March 6, and the second one will be from May 5 to May 20. Good news for students: they will go to the same exam center for both tests!

Both exams will cover the full syllabus, which means students need to study everything they learned throughout the year. There will be a small fee to pay for each exam when students sign up.

An important change is that these two exams will also count as backup options. If a student does not do well in the first exam, they can try again in the second one. So, no special supplementary exams will be held.

This change is a part of the new National Education Policy (NEP) which aims to make exams less stressful for students. According to this policy, students can take the exams up to two times during the school year!

Indian Army Chief’s Visit to France: Enhancing Defense Cooperation

The Indian Army’s top leader, General Upendra Dwivedi, went to Marseille, France, on February 24. He learned about France’s Scorpion program, which is improving the French Army’s fighting tools and techniques, making them stronger for the future.

During his four-day visit, he talked about how both countries can work better together in defense and sharing new ideas. In Carpiagne, he will watch soldiers practice their firing skills to improve their readiness.

On February 27, General Dwivedi will pay respect to Indian soldiers who fought in World War I at the Neuve Chapelle memorial. He will also speak at the École de Guerre, the French military college, and discuss new ways of fighting and India’s view on safety.

This visit follows Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s trip to France earlier in February, where both nations agreed to work together on safe new technologies like artificial intelligence.

Additionally, India is planning to buy 26 new Rafale-M fighter jets for its aircraft carrier INS Vikrant and three more Scorpene-class submarines to improve naval strength. The Rafale-M jets will cost around ₹50,000 crore. These fighters will help India, especially against challenges posed by China in the Indian Ocean.

The submarines will be built in Mumbai and will add to India’s power in the ocean region, ensuring safety and security. So far, six submarines have already been built through a previous deal with France.

Both countries are also looking for more ways to work together to build and design military equipment, strengthening their defense relationships even more.

  • India and China Strengthen Ties for a Peaceful Future

India and China Strengthen Ties for a Peaceful Future

India and China are working hard to fix their relationship, and it’s becoming very important for the world. Chinese Ambassador Xu Feihong spoke about this on Tuesday, sharing that recent talks between the two countries have helped them understand each other better, especially about their shared border.

Last year, both nations agreed to stop fighting along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh, creating a better environment for friendship. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi had an important meeting on December 18, while Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri later visited China to talk with Sun Weidong.

Xu emphasized the talks reached many agreements on how to move forward and work together. He mentioned that improving India-China relations is very important for both countries and the rest of the world. The ambassador encouraged both sides to respect each other’s interests and see each other’s growth as a chance for better teamwork.

As India and China celebrate 75 years of being friends, they are also working on continuing peace in their border areas. Last year, they finished a process to pull back troops from places where they had been facing off. After this, Prime Minister Modi met with Chinese President Xi Jinping to revive various ways of talking with each other.

In conclusion, India believes that its friendship with China can only improve if there is harmony along their shared borders.

Jailed Conman Proposes $2 Billion Investment in Elon Musk’s X

Sukesh Chandrashekhar, a conman in a Delhi jail, has said he wants to invest $2 billion in Elon Musk’s company, X (formerly known as Twitter). In a letter to Musk, he wrote, “I am ready to invest $1 billion right now and another $1 billion next year, making it a total of $2 billion.” He added that if this investment happens, he would be a “proud Indian.”

Sukesh also praised Musk, calling him “my man” and congratulating him on his role in a new U.S. government department called DOGE, which stands for Department of Government Efficiency. He referred to former U.S. President Donald Trump as his “big brother.”

In the letter, he expressed admiration for Musk, saying, “You are solid, Tankman, and Bulletproof. What you’ve built is amazing. Being a part of that would be incredible for me.”

This isn’t the first time Sukesh has written letters from prison. Earlier this month, he also wrote to Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, offering to invest $1 billion at first and an extra $2 billion over five years for OpenAI’s work in India. • Kejriwal’s Pride Leads to AAP’s Loss While BJP Makes Comeback

Kejriwal’s Pride Leads to AAP’s Loss While BJP Makes Comeback

Delhi’s lieutenant governor, Vinai Kumar Saxena, said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leader, Arvind Kejriwal, lost the recent election because of their pride. Saxena mentioned that Kejriwal made several disrespectful comments about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to him, these comments upset the people of Delhi, and they showed their feelings by voting the AAP out of power.

Saxena pointed out that Kejriwal had once said that the Prime Minister would need to be born again to win in Delhi. He believes that when someone talks about another person with a sense of superiority, it shows either a big distance between them or an inflated sense of self-importance.

In the recent elections, Arvind Kejriwal lost his seat to the BJP candidate, Parvesh Verma, by over 4,000 votes. The AAP, which had won 62 seats in the last election, only managed to win 22 seats this time. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) made a strong comeback by winning 48 seats in Delhi after 27 years, with Rekha Gupta becoming the new chief minister.

Saxena also commented on Atishi, who is the temporary chief minister. He noted that even though Kejriwal had promised to return as CM if AAP won, he is currently not allowed to sign documents or enter the CM’s office due to a Supreme Court ruling.

Additionally, while Gupta presented a report on Delhi’s liquor policy, it revealed that poor management resulted in a loss of about ₹2,002.68 crore to the government. The audit highlighted various problems that led to this financial loss.

  • West Bengal in Turmoil: Woman’s Death Sparks Political Blame Game

West Bengal in Turmoil: Woman’s Death Sparks Political Blame Game

A serious argument erupted between West Bengal’s ruling party, the Trinamool Congress (TMC), and the main opposition party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This happened after a woman died when her car flipped over. She was reportedly being chased by a group of men in another car in Paschim Bardhaman district.

Union minister Sukanta Majumdar, who is also a BJP MP, accused Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of making West Bengal unsafe for women. He stated, “Every day, terrible crimes happen against women, and the government does nothing to help!” He criticized Banerjee for promising to protect women but claimed that under her government, women are harmed instead.

In response, TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh released a video. He said that the police believe this incident was just a traffic accident and denied that the woman was being harassed. He warned that false information is being spread about the woman’s death.

The woman, who was just 27 years old and worked in management, died in what police are calling a “road accident.” According to police investigations, she was actually trying to overtake another vehicle when the crash occurred. However, her grieving mother raised concerns about the police investigation, saying they aren’t doing enough to find the people in the other car.

The woman was traveling to a function in Gaya, Bihar, with three of her coworkers. Police have taken both cars involved in the incident and are currently investigating the case.
