Allu Arjun Questioned After Tragic Incident at Pushpa 2 Premiere

Hyderabad police have called Tollywood actor Allu Arjun for questioning on Tuesday about a sad incident at Sandhya Theatre. This comes after his lawyers visited his home in Jubilee Hills.

On December 22, a group of protesters with signs came to Allu Arjun’s house, shouting slogans. One protester even climbed the wall and threw stones. Security tried to help but ended up in a fight with the protesters, who damaged some flower pots. Six people from a group called the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OU-JAC) were arrested for causing trouble at Allu Arjun’s house but were released on bail today.

The trouble began on December 4 when Allu Arjun attended the premiere of his movie “Pushpa 2: The Rule” at Sandhya Theatre. A huge crowd gathered to see him, which caused chaos when he waved to his fans from his car. This led to a terrible accident that killed a woman named Revathi and hurt her child.

After this incident, Allu Arjun was briefly arrested but released on bail after paying Rs 50,000. Recently, the producers of “Pushpa 2,” Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar, gave a cheque for Rs 50 lakh to Revathi’s family at KIMS Hospital, where her son, Sri Tej, is being treated. They expressed sorrow over the tragedy and stated they want to support the grieving family.

The situation has become political. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy blamed Allu Arjun for the accident, stating the police had denied permission for the event at the theatre due to safety concerns. He mentioned that despite the police advice, Allu Arjun still held a roadshow, which made things worse. The police had asked him to leave due to the crowd but he wanted to stay.

Allu Arjun responded to the tragic event by saying that it was a very sad accident and he feels for the family. He has been checking on the injured child and is happy to hear that the child is improving. He also mentioned that some of the accusations against him are misleading and hurtful. Allu Arjun has been in the film industry for 20 years, and this incident has been very distressing for him. He apologized but emphasized that he did not intend for this to happen.

Allu Arjun Summoned by Police Amid Stampede Tragedy and Political Fallout”

Hyderabad police have called actor Allu Arjun to come to the Chikkadpally police station at 11 am on Tuesday. This is about a case concerning a woman who died in a stampede during the premiere of his movie, “Pushpa 2,” at Sandhya Theatre on December 4. The event has caused a lot of discussions in Telangana.

After an attack on Allu Arjun’s house, his legal team visited him on Monday evening. A local court has given bail to six people who were arrested for damaging the actor’s home. Since then, the police have increased security around Allu Arjun’s house in Jubilee Hills.

Footage online shows a group of lawyers visiting the actor’s home with bags and papers. According to Hyderabad’s West Zone police, on the evening of December 22, many people with signs gathered outside Allu Arjun’s house.

Telangana’s Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, spoke out against the attack and told police leaders to maintain peace in the area.

Telangana Minister D Anasuya Seethakka accused the BRS and BJP parties of making politics out of the sad events. She reminded everyone that a life was lost and another person was still unwell. She mentioned how BRS leaders behaved during the statehood movement, questioning why they didn’t support the film industry then.

Allu Arjun’s father-in-law, Chandrasekhar Reddy, met with Congress in-charge Deepa Dasmunsi, but details of their talk are not clear. BRS leader T. Harish Rao criticized the situation, calling it a “failure of governance.”

BJP MP D.K. Aruna claimed that four people who damaged Allu Arjun’s house were linked to Congress, which the Congress party denied. Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy said identifying the vandals and connecting them with Congress based on pictures was wrong. He stated that they had photos with leaders from other parties too and questioned the reasons behind the vandalism.

In other news, the producers of “Pushpa 2” have given ₹50 lakh to the family of the woman who died in the stampede. Producer Naveen Yerneni visited the hospital where the woman’s eight-year-old son is being treated and handed the cheque to the family. The hospital reported that the boy’s condition is stable, but he is still not fully out of danger.

NIA Arrests Key Figure in Punjab Terror Conspiracy

In an important development in the Punjab terrorist conspiracy case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a significant associate of Khalistani terrorist Lakhbir Singh, also known as Landa, and gangster Bachitar Singh, known as Pavitar Batala.

On Monday, they captured Jatinder Singh, also called Jyoti, from Mumbai. He had been hiding since the arrest of a weapons supplier named Baljit Singh, or Rana Bhai, in July 2024. The NIA used advanced technology and on-site investigations to find Jatinder.

The NIA found that Jatinder was part of a terror gang led by Landa, who is based outside of India and is associated with the banned group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). Jatinder was helping deliver weapons to Landa and Batala’s supporters in Punjab.

He was getting weapons from Baljit Singh, who is based in Madhya Pradesh and has recently faced legal action. Investigators discovered that Jatinder had brought ten pistols from Madhya Pradesh to hand over to Landa and Batala’s operatives in Punjab.

Jatinder was also planning to smuggle more weapons from Madhya Pradesh to Punjab, but the NIA stopped his plans with successful search operations throughout the months.

His arrest marks a big step forward for the NIA in fighting against the combo of terror groups and gangsters by preventing the smuggling of weapons and funding for acts of terrorism in India.

Bombs Found in Churachandpur Amid Rising Tensions in Manipur

Big problems are happening in Churachandpur, Manipur. On Monday, police found dangerous bombs and explosives in two places. The first discovery was made around 10:30 AM under a bridge near the Anglo-Kuki War Memorial Gate on Tiddim Road. Experts from the army and local police safely removed and defused one of the bombs by 3 PM. The Anglo-Kuki War Memorial Gate has been a hot topic because a fight started there between two groups—the Kuki and the Meitei communities—over a year ago when some people tried to burn the gate.

In another incident on the same day, a team made up of soldiers and police found more dangerous stuff at Thangjing Hill, near Teijang village. They discovered three unexploded rockets, guns, and lots of explosives after locals told them where to look. The search began early in the morning and went on until they found:

    – 45 sticks of explosives, each weighing 125 grams
    – 14 detonators
    – Three rockets (one was 5.4 feet long and two were 4.5 feet long)
    – One rifle with a magazine
    – Four pistols with magazines
    – Six local mortars called “Pompi” and some bullets

This search came after a similar attack on September 7 by armed men, believed to be Kuki militants, who fired rockets toward Moirang. That attack sadly killed a 72-year-old man and injured five others.

Modi Celebrates Christmas, Urges Unity and Love in Challenging Times

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended Christmas celebrations organized by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India. He shared how the teachings of Jesus Christ promote love, peace, and togetherness. Modi expressed sadness over violence and divisions in society, emphasizing that India’s people-centered approach can help the world reach new heights in the 21st century.

He referred to tragic events like the Christmas market attack in Germany and the 2019 Easter bombings in Sri Lanka, highlighting the need for unity to face challenges. This was a special moment since it was the first time a Prime Minister attended a Christmas event at the Catholic Church in India.

Modi recalled a memorable mission from ten years ago when India worked to safely bring back Father Alexis Prem Kumar from war-torn Afghanistan, where he was held hostage for eight months. For Modi, these efforts go beyond politics; they show India’s commitment to protect its citizens no matter the danger.

He also reminded everyone how India helped other countries during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing medicines and vaccines even when many nations failed to help. Modi believes India’s youth are key to achieving a better future—a “Viksit Bharat,” or Developed India. He said he felt proud that Pope Francis made George Koovakad a Cardinal of the Catholic Church. The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India has been working with Catholics across the country since 1944

Vandalism of Ambedkar Statue Sparks Protests and Police Investigation”

In the early hours of Monday, a statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar was damaged by unknown people in Ahmedabad. This led to angry local residents protesting at the site. The police have filed a report and are checking nearby CCTV cameras to find out who did it.

Police inspector NK Rabari confirmed the statue, located in front of Shri KK Shastri College in the Khokhra area, had its nose and glasses broken. The damage happened before 8 AM. The police promised that those responsible would face consequences.

The protest happened because residents were upset and shouted for action against the vandals. This incident follows recent violence in Parbhani, Maharashtra, where a glass statue of the Constitution was also damaged on December 10.

After that incident, over 50 people were arrested, and one of them, Somnath Suryawanshi, sadly died on December 15 after complaining of chest pain. His death was linked to injuries he received while in police custody. Rahul Gandhi, a leader from the Congress party, met Suryawanshi’s family and claimed it was a wrongful death because he was a Dalit fighting for constitutional rights.

In response, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that Gandhi’s visit seemed politically motivated but assured the public that justice would be served
