Bhubaneswar: A new Odia film called ‘Sanatani-Karma Hi Dharma’ was released on Friday in about 30 cinemas across Odisha, even though some people from the Christian community are against it. The film focuses on religious conversion. The producer, Bijay Kandoi, said that there were no protests, and the movie has been well-received by many people. He believes the film does not contain anything offensive to any group.

Sambit Acharya, the main actor, encouraged everyone to watch the film before sharing their opinions. At first, the movie had trouble getting approval from the film certification board in Cuttack, but it later got permission from their office in Mumbai. They suggested changing the film’s title and asked for some parts to be edited, which the producer agreed to.

Rakesh Roshan, a well-known filmmaker, recently talked about two very serious moments in his life: when he was shot in 2000 and when he learned he had cancer in 2018. In an interview, he shared that on the morning of his cancer surgery, he was working out at the gym with his son, Hrithik Roshan.

Rakesh said, “I didn’t think too much about it when I got shot. I joked around to keep everyone happy, so they wouldn’t worry too much. I did the same when I found out I had cancer.” He explained that Hrithik and he spent an hour at the gym before heading to the hospital. The female characters are also strong. Puja Sarup and Shreya Chaudhry understand these men’s struggles and allow them to figure things out on their own. Puja has a standout moment that makes her my favorite character this year. Shreya shows that her talent from Bandish Bandits was real, bringing confidence and depth to her role.

What makes The Mehta Boys special is how subtle it is. The story uses little details, like car handbrakes and bill payments, to show the differences between father and son. These small scenes make the film a joy to watch.
