Gaurav Taneja Defended After Shark Tank Rejection – Controversial Comments!

Gaurav Taneja, also known as Flying Beast, recently appeared on Shark Tank India Season 4 with his fitness brand, BeastLife, which he co-founded with Raj Gupta. However, the judges, known as ‘sharks,’ didn’t like their pitch and rejected them. After the show, Raj responded to some tough comments made by Anupam Mittal, one of the sharks. He felt that it wasn’t fair to call Gaurav a “terrible entrepreneur,” especially since he works incredibly hard.

In an interview, Raj said, “What Anupam said was really wrong. I saw Gaurav working late into the night and putting in so much effort. It’s not right to put him down like that.” He continued, “People who go on Shark Tank pour their hearts into their businesses. They deserve respect, not harsh criticisms.”

Gaurav and Raj were asking for ₹1 crore for a 1% share in their company, which makes easy-to-digest protein supplements. Anupam Mittal seemed unhappy with their proposal and said to Gaurav, “You’re a great influencer, but you can’t just let others handle the business for you.”

Gaurav later explained on his YouTube channel that the ₹1 crore he mentioned wasn’t personal income but the total revenue of the business, not the profit.

  • Oscars to Require Disclosure of AI Use in Films: What You Need to Know

Oscars to Require Disclosure of AI Use in Films: What You Need to Know

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in movies is growing quickly, and now filmmakers who want their films to be considered for Oscars must share how they used it. Recently, two Oscar-nominated films, The Brutalist and Emilia Perez, have sparked debates about whether using AI in movies is fair.

The Brutalist received a lot of criticism when it was revealed that AI helped enhance performances of actors Adrien Brody and Felicity Jones. Director Brady Corbet defended the movie, saying AI was only used a little and that the actors actually practiced with a Hungarian coach. He also mentioned that the building sketches were hand-drawn.

In Emilia Perez, director Jacques Audiard used AI to clone the voices of the actors. Other films aiming for Oscars, like A Complete Unknown and Dune: Part 2, have also used AI in their production.

According to a report by Variety, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (the group behind the Oscars) is currently looking into how AI is used in films. They might require filmmakers to share details about AI use by 2026. Right now, there’s an optional form for filmmakers to fill out if they use AI in their films.

Podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, known for his channel BeerBiceps, was on a recent episode of Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. His jokes didn’t sit well with many viewers. They called him out for making inappropriate and offensive remarks, leading some to say that there should be rules for online shows like Latent that stream on YouTube.

In the show, contestants showcase their talent while the judges, including Samay Raina and famous guests, score them. If the contestants can correctly guess their scores, they win a prize. The show is praised by some for its dark humor and relaxed style, but it has also faced criticism.

In one episode, Ranveer made a shocking joke about a contestant’s parents that upset many people. He asked, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day or join them to finish it once and for all?” While some on the show laughed, viewers were not pleased, with one person tweeting, “What do I do to unhear that horrible Ranveer Allahbadia clip?”

Many people on the internet want Ranveer to be canceled for his comments. Some referenced his award for being a disruptor from India’s Prime Minister and wondered if that award would still stand after his offensive jokes.

Another comment that upset people was about Kerala’s literacy, where one twitter user pointed out that Ranveer’s misleading videos have been fact-checked by educated people from Kerala.

Social media users are calling for the authorities to monitor shows like India’s Got Latent more closely to avoid vulgar content. This isn’t the first time India’s Got Latent has been in trouble; earlier, a complaint was filed over a joke about dog meat.

  • Malayalam Film Industry Struggles: Shutdown Warning for 2024

Malayalam Film Industry Struggles: Shutdown Warning for 2024

The Malayalam film industry had a promising start in 2024, with successful movies like Manjummel Boys, Premalu, Aavesham, The Goat Life, and Marco. However, producers, distributors, and exhibitors are claiming the industry faced big money losses this year. If the issues aren’t solved, they have warned of a shutdown starting June 1.

According to a report, producer G Suresh Kumar announced this news after a meeting with various industry groups. He mentioned that out of 200 films released last year, only 24 did well. Producers lost between 600 to 700 crore rupees on the other films. Even though they discussed problems with movie stars, no real changes have happened.

Producers are unhappy with how much stars and technicians charge and the high entertainment tax from the government. They said, “Costs of making films have skyrocketed. The Malayalam film industry can’t handle this. Stars charge too much, and the government hasn’t helped. Since the ‘One Nation, One Tax’ policy started, taxes now take 30% of total earnings.”

Before the planned shutdown on June 1, a symbolic strike will take place outside the Secretariat in Thiruvananthapuram. Last year, the Kerala Film Producers’ Association mentioned the need to get people back into theatres by 2025. Some movies like Manjummel Boys, The Goat Life, Aavesham, and Premalu earned over ₹100 crore, while others like Kishkinda Kaandam and Guruvayur Ambalanadayil made over ₹75 crore.
