Khan Sir Joins Protests for Fair BPSC Exam Rules in Bihar

Patna (Bihar): Faizal Khan, better known as Khan Sir, is an educator and YouTuber who was released from police custody late Friday night in Patna. He was detained after joining protests by students hoping to change the exam rules of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC).

On Friday, students gathered in Patna to demand that exams be conducted in “One Shift and One Paper,” instead of the current system which they feel complicates things through the normalisation process. A local magistrate, MS Khan, asked the protesters to disperse, stating that they would need to leave the protest area.

While speaking to the media, Khan Sir emphasized that their cause is not political; they just want to be heard. “It is quite sad that we have to protest just a week before our exams. We want a clear statement from the BPSC about exam rules,” he said. He believes that the process might be good, but it needs to be managed well by the officials in charge.

Khan Sir also stressed the importance of fairness in the exams, urging for a guarantee that normalisation will not happen this time. He called on the authorities to recognize that they are also teaching the students who are studying for these exams. “We will protest peacefully. It is important to cancel the normalisation process,” he added.

He suggested that if the students’ time is wasted, they should be given extra time or even an extension for the exam dates. Additionally, he mentioned that any student forms not accepted due to technical issues should be accepted. Khan Sir encouraged the students to stay united in their fight for these demands.

  • Students Demand Fairness in BPSC Exam Process Amid Protests in Bihar

Students Demand Fairness in BPSC Exam Process Amid Protests in Bihar

Many students in Bihar were unhappy about the way the upcoming BPSC 70th combined competitive examination is being organized. They protested because they heard there might be a “normalization” process. This process would change the scores for students taking the exam on different days, making it fairer if the difficulty of the questions varied.

The exam, set for December 13, is very important as it will fill 2,035 jobs. However, many students couldn’t apply because of a problem with the BPSC’s website. They wanted the exam date pushed back so everyone could participate.

Even though the admit cards for the exam were released, the students still protested outside the BPSC office. Police called the protests illegal and used force to break up the crowd, injuring some students.

The BPSC chairman, Ravi S. Parmar, said the protests weren’t necessary and accused some participants of having other motives. He assured everyone that there will be only one exam on one day, without normalization. He mentioned that if there were any changes, they would be announced beforehand.

Parmar explained that the exams would have different sets of questions to prevent cheating. Just a month ago, similar protests occurred in nearby Uttar Pradesh over a different testing system.

In this protest, many students voiced their frustrations, claiming it is their right to speak out. The opposition leader, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, also supported the students and has called on the Chief Minister for help.

Many students feel their future is at risk. They believe that if the government can hold elections in one day, they could have one exam on the same day too. They want clear communication from the exam authorities about the process.

The protests have caught political attention, and students are being heard.

  • UGC Introduces Flexible Degree Durations and Multidisciplinary Learning

UGC Introduces Flexible Degree Durations and Multidisciplinary Learning

New Rules for College Degrees: Students Can Choose How Long to Study!

Big changes are coming for students who want to go to college in India! The University Grants Commission (UGC) has introduced new rules that give students more choices about their degrees.

Now, students can finish their undergraduate (UG) degrees in either a shorter time or a longer time. This means if you study a lot, you can complete your degree faster! There are two choices: the Accelerated Degree Program (ADP) lets you finish quickly, while the Extended Degree Program (EDP) allows more time if you want it. Students can select which program they prefer by the end of their first or second semester.

The new rules also say that no matter what you studied in high school, you can take any subject in college as long as you pass the entrance test. Students can apply twice a year for college: in July-August and January-February.

Here are some key points about the new rules:
    – Students need to earn at least 50% of their credits in their major subject. The other half can be from skill courses or other subjects.
    – A UG degree can take three to four years, and a PG degree can take one to two years.
    – Colleges can allow a maximum of 10% of students to join the ADP, but there is no limit for EDP.
    – The UGC wants to make education more flexible so that students can learn better and have more opportunities for different careers.

This is an exciting change, as it helps students develop skills in many areas and learn at their own pace!

  • New UGC Rules: Study Any Discipline After Class 12!

New UGC Rules: Study Any Discipline After Class 12!

Good news for students wanting to pursue higher education! The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced new rules. Now, whether you studied science, arts, or commerce in Class 12, you can apply for any undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) program as long as you pass a national or university entrance exam.

UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar explained this change aims to make learning more flexible and open to everyone. You won’t be limited by what you studied earlier. For example, if you took arts in high school, you can still join a science program if you pass the test.

The universities can also admit students in the second, third, or fourth year of study based on what they have completed. If you’re interested in exploring different fields, you can even study two UG or PG programs at the same time, and you can switch between different subjects or schools.

Furthermore, students can now focus on important skills and work experiences while studying. They can earn 50% of their credits in their main subject and the rest can go towards skill-building activities or exploring new subjects.

These improvements mean that Indian higher education will meet international standards while also being welcoming to all types of learners!
