  • Trump Accused of Stock Manipulation After Tariff Pause Announcement

Trump Accused of Stock Manipulation After Tariff Pause Announcement

Former President Donald Trump is facing accusations of “stock manipulation” on social media. This happened after many people noticed that hours before he announced a pause in tariffs, he told his followers on Truth Social to “buy” stocks.

At 9:37 AM, Trump encouraged his followers by writing, “THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY!!! DJT.” Then, just a few hours later, he shared the news at 1:20 PM that he was pausing tariffs for most countries. This announcement made the stock market soar, with the S&P 500 rising by 8.2% and the Dow Jones increasing by over 2,600 points.

Many users on social media criticized Trump. One user wrote, “How is this not market manipulation?” Another said, “Donald Trump should be arrested for stock manipulation.” As of now, Trump and his team have not responded to these claims.

In his announcement, Trump mentioned he was allowing a 90-day break on tariffs for many nations after talking to more than 75 countries looking to reach an agreement. He also confirmed that effective immediately, the tariff on China would increase to 125%, stating, “China can’t keep taking advantage of the U.S. and others.”

  • Tahawwur Rana Extradited to India: Justice for 2008 Mumbai Attacks

Tahawwur Rana Extradited to India: Justice for 2008 Mumbai Attacks

Tahawwur Rana, a key suspect in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, is coming back to India after being extradited from the US. His legal options were all used up when the US Supreme Court decided not to stop his extradition. A few months ago, former US President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that Rana would face justice in India.

Rana, who claimed to be very sick with serious health issues, told the US court he might not survive long enough to stand trial in India. He also warned that he could be targeted in India because of his background and beliefs.

He is known to be associated with David Coleman Headley, a Pakistani-American who was a major planner of the Mumbai attacks. Rana is a businessman and doctor from Pakistan, with ties to the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Pakistan’s intelligence agency.

Although a US jury found him not guilty of helping with the attacks, he was convicted of other charges and sentenced to over 10 years in prison. After getting sick during the Covid pandemic, he was released but was soon arrested again because India wanted him back for his alleged role in the attacks. After facing legal hurdles, he finally ran out of options.

Indian authorities have been working to bring him back since his arrest. An international arrest warrant was issued for Rana, and he is accused of knowing about Headley’s plans and helping him carry out the attacks. Documents from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) allege that Rana planned the attacks and helped scout important locations.

After the Mumbai attacks, Headley visited India and surveyed places connected to the attacks. Rana is believed to have provided logistical and financial support to Headley and other people involved.

JD Vance’s Upcoming Visit to India: Key Meetings and Insights

US Vice President JD Vance is set to visit India later this month. During his trip, he will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also plans to visit the beautiful cities of Jaipur and Agra. This visit comes as India and the US work on a new trade deal.

Vance’s trip will happen around the same time as US National Security Advisor Michael Waltz’s visit to India from April 21 to 24. Before these important visits, the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Sanjay Malhotra, mentioned that India is in a good position compared to other countries. However, he pointed out that high tariffs could slow down growth. While global issues may affect exports of goods, he believes that the exports of services will stay strong.

In the coming months, US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth is also expected to visit India in May or June. His trip will focus on improving the US-India Major Defence Partnership, which was announced during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the White House in February.

New Zirakpur Bypass: A Game-Changer for Traffic Relief in Punjab and Haryana

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led a meeting where the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs agreed to build a new 6-lane road called the Zirakpur Bypass. This road will connect NH-7 (Zirakpur-Patiala) to the NH-5 junction (Zirakpur-Parwanoo) at a cost of ₹1,878.31 crores.

The new road will stretch over 19.2 kilometers and will cross areas in Punjab and Haryana. It will be built using a special funding method that combines public and private money, as part of the PM Gatishakti National Master Plan.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared that this bypass is just the first step in several road projects designed to create a “ring road” around busy neighborhoods. Starting from NH-7 in Zirakpur and ending at NH-5 in Panchkula, the main goal of this project is to reduce traffic jams in Zirakpur, Panchkula, and nearby towns. By redirecting vehicles coming from Patiala, Delhi, and Mohali Aerocity, the road will also make it easier to get to Himachal Pradesh.

The plan aims to cut down travel time and make driving smoother in crowded areas along NH-7, NH-5, and NH-152. The government is committed to improving road networks to help decrease traffic in Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali. The Zirakpur Bypass is a crucial part of this plan.

  • Manchu Family Feud: Manoj Protests Over Alleged Theft by Vishnu

Manchu Family Feud: Manoj Protests Over Alleged Theft by Vishnu

This week, a big fight in the Manchu family got even worse. Manchu Manoj sat down outside his dad, Mohan Babu’s, house to protest. He was not allowed inside after making a police complaint against his brother, Vishnu Manchu. Manoj accused Vishnu of stealing his car and other valuable things.

On Wednesday, videos showed Manoj sitting quietly at the gate of his dad’s house in Jalpally. The police were called to keep the peace. Manoj was dressed casually in a t-shirt and pants, sitting on a blanket as he waited at the closed gate.

In a statement to the press, he said, “This isn’t about money or property. It all started on December 8, but the police haven’t done anything yet. The officer acts like he doesn’t know where I live. I have proof of everything. Vishnu took advantage when I was away. If I’m wrong, I’ll shave my head and apologize.”

Earlier, Manoj filed a report with the Narsingi police, claiming that Vishnu stole expensive items and his car while he was away in Rajasthan for his daughter’s birthday. Manoj said that on April 1, while he was in Jaipur, Vishnu and a group of 150 people entered his home and took his car. He also claimed his security team was attacked. He says he found his car at Vishnu’s house.

The Manchu brothers have been having disagreements for the last few years. Manoj insisted that his problems with his family are about how their staff is treated and how their schools are managed, not about property. Before this, he had complained about Mohan and Vishnu, and they had filed complaints against him too.

In February, both Mohan and Manoj went to see the District Collector about a property issue and argued about property encroachment. In January, Manoj was even stopped from entering Mohan Babu University in Tirupati.

  • Delhi Hits Hottest April Night: Is the Heatwave Coming

Delhi Hits Hottest April Night: Is the Heatwave Coming

On Wednesday, Delhi experienced its warmest April night in three years. The temperature dropped to 25.6°C, which is 5.6°C higher than normal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The heat is rising in Delhi and other parts of India as summer gets serious, leading to heatwaves.

Previously, warm night conditions were just noted at the Palam station. But today, all five major weather stations in Delhi reported the same high temperatures. Last year, the lowest temperature recorded in April was around 26.2°C, but both 2023 and 2024 didn’t see temperatures reach 25°C during this month.

The IMD predicts a partly cloudy day ahead and has issued a yellow alert for heatwaves in Delhi, expecting the maximum temperature to be around 40°C on Wednesday, April 9th.

In addition, air quality in Delhi was rated ‘poor’, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 233 at 9 am. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) explains that an AQI from 0 to 50 is ‘good’, 51 to 100 is ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 is ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 is ‘poor’, 301 to 400 is ‘very poor’, and 401 to 500 is ‘severe’.

    Heat Hits Across India

Many states in north, central, and western India are feeling the heat, with temperatures hitting a blazing 46.4°C in Rajasthan’s Barmer on Tuesday. The IMD reported that 27 weather stations recorded temperatures of 43°C or higher in states such as Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh, with 19 of those stations experiencing heat or severe heatwave conditions.

According to the IMD, a heatwave occurs when the maximum temperature is at least 40°C in the plains, 37°C along the coast, and 30°C in hilly areas, with temperatures 4.5°C to 6.4°C above the usual levels. A severe heatwave is declared when temperatures are 6.5°C higher than normal. Additionally, a heatwave condition can also be declared if the temperature hits 45°C, with a severe status at 47°C, no matter the normal temperature level.

  • Tahawwur Rana, Key Mumbai Attack Figure, to Be Extradited to India Soon

Tahawwur Rana, Key Mumbai Attack Figure, to Be Extradited to India Soon

Tahawwur Rana, who is accused of being involved in the Mumbai terror attacks, is expected to be sent back to India from the US very soon. The attacks, which happened in November 2008, resulted in the deaths of 166 people. Rana has run out of legal options in the US, which means he will likely be handed over to Indian authorities soon.

A team from India is currently in the US taking care of paperwork to extradite Rana. This follows a recent decision by the US Supreme Court that rejected his last attempt to avoid extradition. President Donald Trump had previously mentioned that those who commit terrible acts will be made to face justice in India.

Rana was held at a detention center in Los Angeles and is known for working with Pakistani-American terrorist David Coleman Headley, who played a major role in the attacks. Once he is in India, law enforcement agencies believe that his information might help uncover the involvement of certain actors from the Pakistani government in planning the attacks.

Before the attacks, Rana traveled around India, visiting places like Delhi, Agra, and Mumbai. It’s believed these visits could help investigators understand how the attacks were carried out.

The Mumbai attacks were horrible, where ten terrorists targeted various famous places in the city, leading to a serious crisis between India and Pakistan. Among the victims were people from the US, UK, and Israel. The FBI arrested Rana in 2009 for helping plan these attacks.

Rana is seen as a key figure linked to terror groups from Pakistan, and he will be questioned about his role in helping plan the attacks in Mumbai. His extradition is crucial for Indian authorities to get closer to solving the case fully.
