Leaders in the area are worried about illegal immigrants from Bangladesh taking resources and posing security risks. Sara Arfeen Khan Evicted from Bigg Boss 18 After Fight with Karan Veer Mehra

Sara Arfeen Khan has become the latest contestant to leave the famous reality show, Bigg Boss 18, hosted by Salman Khan. Recently, she had a serious argument with fellow contestant Karan Veer Mehra, which even led to a physical fight between them. This caught a lot of attention from fans.

In a recent interview, Sara shared that she had thought about filing a police report against Karan. She said, “I won’t lie; I did think about it. But in the end, this is just a game. What happens in Bigg Boss should stay in Bigg Boss. Honestly, I just want justice from the audience, more than from the police.” She believes that it’s up to the viewers to decide who should stay in the game.

Sara also mentioned that she was hurt during the fight and needed medical attention. “I had bruises,” she said. Sara felt it was sad that no serious action was taken following the incident. She speculated that maybe it was because the video of the fight hadn’t been shown yet or because she received fewer votes. She respects that if Salman Khan didn’t take action, there must be a good reason for it.

Currently, there are 10 contestants left in the game: Vivian Dsena, Rajat Dalal, Karan Veer Mehra, Avinash Mishra, Kashish Kapoor, Eisha Singh, Chum Darang, Shrutika Arjun, Shilpa Shirodkar, and Chahat Pandey. You can watch Bigg Boss 18 every day at 10 PM on Colors TV or stream it on Jio Cinema.

  • Chinese Hackers Breach US Treasury in Major Cybersecurity Incident

Chinese Hackers Breach US Treasury in Major Cybersecurity Incident

This month, hackers linked to the Chinese government broke into the US Treasury Department’s computer system, getting access to some unclassified documents. Officials are calling this a “major incident.”

The hackers found a way in through a company called BeyondTrust, which helps with computer security. They used a trick to get access to computers by taking over a special security key meant for remote help.

The Treasury learned about the attack after BeyondTrust noticed some strange activities and alerted them. Right now, the Treasury Department is working closely with the FBI and a group called CISA to figure out how bad the hack really is. So far, officials say there’s no sign that the hackers still have access to the Treasury’s systems.

In response to these accusations, China’s foreign ministry said they have nothing to do with the breach and called the claims baseless. This situation raises new worries about cybersecurity, especially after previous hacking incidents tied to Chinese hackers attacking US telecoms.

To prevent future attacks, the Treasury has promised to improve its computer security and will share more details in a report to Congress soon.

  • Americans Prefer Local Workers Over H-1B Visa Expansion”

Americans Prefer Local Workers Over H-1B Visa Expansion”

There’s a big talk going on about H-1B visas, which allow companies in the U.S. to hire workers from other countries for important jobs. A new survey shows that most Americans think we already have enough skilled workers here and don’t need to bring in more from outside.

According to a poll by Rasmussen Reports done in November, 60% of people believe that we can train and hire Americans for high-skilled jobs. Only 26% support bringing in more foreign workers. This is a hot topic, especially as famous people like Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy want to expand the H-1B program to help fill job gaps. But others, like Steve Bannon and Laura Loomer, strongly oppose this idea.

Some big companies, such as Amazon, Google, and Meta, applied for hundreds of H-1B visas in 2024. This move allowed Musk’s company, Tesla, to hire many workers in the U.S. However, in the survey, 59% of people said that businesses struggling to find workers should pay higher wages and try harder to hire Americans, even if it means higher prices for consumers. Only 24% believed that hiring foreign workers would help keep costs down.

In the past, during Trump’s presidency, changes were made to the H-1B program to protect American workers and restrict foreign hiring.

Damon Dash Slams Jay-Z as ‘Ruthless’ Amid Longstanding Business Feud”

Damon Dash, a former business partner of Jay-Z, recently spoke out against the rapper, calling him ‘ruthless’ and comparing him to the villain Penguin from DC Comics. In an interview on ‘The Art of Dialogue,’ Damon shared details from their long-running feud that started over twenty years ago when they worked together at Roc-A-Fella Records.

Damon accused Jay-Z of sabotaging his business deals, specifically mentioning an event in 2005. He said Jay-Z pulled away from their clothing brand, Rocawear, just before a big deal with Tommy Hilfiger. Damon claims this move cost him around $40 million.

Though Damon Dash said he doesn’t care about the recent rape allegations against Jay-Z, he is very frustrated with how Jay-Z’s actions have hurt his money-making chances. Their ongoing conflict shows deep-rooted issues in their relationship, with Damon insisting that Jay-Z has repeatedly tried to undermine his business success. This latest round of accusations highlights a long history of betrayal and rivalry between the two

  • Boeing Stock Drops After Jeju Air Crash: 179 Lives Lost”

Boeing Stock Drops After Jeju Air Crash: 179 Lives Lost”

On New Year’s Eve, Boeing’s stock price fell more than 2% after a tragic plane crash involving Jeju Air in South Korea. The accident led to the deaths of 179 people and involved the Boeing 737-800 model, which is used by many airlines worldwide. Despite this incident, aviation experts say the 737-800 has a great safety record. About 200 airlines use this model, which has been flying for over 25 years and makes up around 1 in 7 planes in the air today.

South Korea’s transportation ministry announced that they would check all 101 Boeing 737-800 planes operated by airlines in the country, including Jeju Air. These inspections started on Monday and are expected to finish by Friday.

Boeing stated that they are working with Jeju Air and are ready to offer help. Meanwhile, Jeju Air’s stock dropped by 8.7% when trading closed in Seoul on Monday, reaching a record low for the company.

This crash adds to a difficult year for Boeing, which has been struggling with problems like worker strikes, quality control issues, high debt, and supply chain troubles. Boeing’s stock has lost over 30% of its value in 2024.

Earlier this month, a panel blew off a Boeing 737 Max plane during an Alaska Airlines flight, raising safety concerns once again, especially after two deadly crashes involving the Max model in the past five years. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has now increased its supervision of Boeing and limited the production of the Max, which has affected the company financially.

In July, Boeing admitted to a serious crime related to the Max crashes and tried to resolve its legal issues, but a federal judge rejected their proposed agreement in December, making things even harder for the company.

In August, Kelly Ortberg became the new CEO of Boeing, taking over from Dave Calhoun, who stepped down. In September, around 33,000 Boeing workers went on strike for two months, causing major disruptions for the company. In October, Ortberg said in a memo that Boeing is facing tough challenges and announced plans to cut about 17,000 jobs, which is around 10% of the company’s global workforce.

Senator’s Son Gets 28 Years for Fatal Police Car Crash

Ian Cramer, the 43-year-old son of North Dakota Senator Kevin Cramer, was sentenced to 28 years in prison after causing a tragic accident. In December 2023, Ian fled a hospital and crashed his car into a police car, killing Deputy Paul Martin, who was 53 years old.

Ian admitted to several serious charges, including causing a death while trying to escape from police. The judge, Bobbi Weiler, said Ian would spend 28 years in prison, but it’s likely he will serve less time due to state policies. He also received recommendations for addiction and mental health treatment.

Sitting quietly during the hearing, Ian expressed his sorrow to Deputy Martin’s family, saying, “I had no intention to do any of this. It was an accident… I just hope they can forgive me.” He admitted to using drugs like methamphetamine and bath salts on the day of the crash.

Deputy Martin was admired by his friends and colleagues for his gentle nature. He had planned to retire the week before the accident. Kevin Cramer, Ian’s father, acknowledged his son’s ongoing struggles with mental health and addiction, mentioning, “these were his choices, but I am disappointed that mental health issues are not taken seriously.”

Although Ian was charged with serious crimes, he will likely spend only a fraction of his sentence in prison, leaving open the chance for him to re-enter society someday.
