Manchu Family Feud: Mohan Babu and Manoj Clash Over Assault Claims

There are reports of a fight between members of the Manchu family that got serious on Sunday morning. Mohan Babu and his son, Manchu Manoj, both called the police, claiming each other had hurt them. However, Mohan Babu later said through a spokesperson that these reports are not true. He said, “There is no truth in the news that we filed complaints against each other. Media should stop spreading false stories.”

Earlier, it was reported that Manoj went to the police station after his father allegedly hit him and that he was hurt in the fight. Then, Mohan also reportedly told the police that his son attacked him. The family feud seems to be about a property dispute.

As more news spread, Manoj mentioned that a person named Vinay, who helps with Mohan Babu’s university, may have attacked him on Mohan’s orders. This story is still developing, and both Mohan and Manoj have not spoken to the press directly yet.

This isn’t the first time there have been issues in the Manchu family. Earlier in 2023, Manoj posted and then deleted a video online, saying his brother, Vishnu Manchu, hurts their relatives and friends. Vishnu joked about the situation later, saying, “This is just the beginning…#HOM #HouseOfManchus.” His team claimed that Manoj’s video was part of a ‘reality show,’ but Manoj and their sister Lakshmi settled those claims with the media.

Mehbooba Mufti Advocates Age Relaxation for JK Police Aspirants

PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti expressed hope that the Jammu and Kashmir government will allow age relaxation for police sub-inspector candidates. She pointed out that recruitment has been delayed since 2019, leaving many aspiring candidates in uncertainty. Mehbooba called for urgent support for this demand in a post on X, tagging Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

She said, “Many JKPSI hopefuls face a tough future due to recruitment delays, corruption, and exam cancellations. Age relaxation is a fair request, and I hope it’s granted soon.”

The police sub-inspector test was held in 2022, but the results were canceled after claims of cheating and fraud. A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry was started, leading to charges against 24 people, including a BSF officer.

  • Kerala Open to Adani Projects with Emphasis on Sustainability

Kerala Open to Adani Projects with Emphasis on Sustainability

Kerala is open to talking about new projects with the Adani Group if they benefit the people and the state, according to P Rajeev, the Minister of Law, Industries, and Coir. However, Kerala is careful about allowing big industries that might harm the environment.

Rajeev mentioned that there is already a significant Adani investment in the Vizhinjam Seaport near Thiruvananthapuram. The current government decided to continue with the port project started by the previous administration because it helps the state’s economy and creates jobs for its people.

The minister explained that Kerala is not willing to offer special incentives to the Adani Group and wants to follow strict conditions. About recent allegations against the Adani Group, he said they will still work together, but they want a mutual benefit from any new projects.

Rajeev also pointed out that the government doesn’t support privatizing electricity and water supply. While they collaborate with the Adani Group on the Vizhinjam port, Kerala opposes giving the Adani Group control of the nearby international airport.

The minister stressed that the state is not against big industries, but they must not pollute the environment. Kerala is looking for investments in clean sectors, like medical devices, robot manufacturing, and spice processing. Rajeev noted that Kerala aims to be a hub for knowledge-based industries, thanks to its talented workforce. The government plans to declare Kerala the first digitally literate state in India and is proud to be ranked number one for ease of doing business.

Though some may worry about high wages in Kerala, Rajeev said companies will benefit thanks to worker productivity. He also reassured that the state doesn’t have major issues with strikes or violence in industries, unlike other states. He mentioned a law that protects workers’ rights but clarified it does not apply in industrial and logistics parks, and demanding money is a crime.

Rohit Sharma’s Captaincy Struggles: Four Losses in a Row!

Rohit Sharma is facing a tough time as both a Test player and captain. His recent return to the Indian cricket team came with a loss at the Adelaide Oval during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Fans and experts are questioning his decisions and strategies, especially after India lost 3-0 to New Zealand at home. This latest defeat marks four straight losses for Rohit as captain, putting him in a challenging group of Indian captains with this unfortunate record.

With his current streak of losses, Rohit joins famous captains like Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni, both of whom have also lost four Test matches in a row. Sachin Tendulkar and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi hold an even tougher record with more consecutive losses. On the flip side, India won the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy under Jasprit Bumrah’s leadership, but Rohit’s four losses in five matches put him under pressure.

Back in 2020-21, Kohli went through a tough phase of losing four matches, including a significant defeat in Adelaide. He later bounced back and led the team to some victories. Similarly, MS Dhoni faced this problem twice in his career. Once was during India’s difficult tours of England in 2011 and 2014, close to his retirement.

In 1959, one of India’s early captains, Datta Gaekwad, lost four matches in a row when cricket in India was still developing. In a brief captaincy in 1999-2000, Sachin Tendulkar experienced five consecutive losses before stepping down. An all-time negative record is held by Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, who lost six matches in a row in 1967-68.

Fans are hoping Rohit can turn things around and avoid getting close to this record, as the Indian team seeks a positive result in the upcoming third Test at the Gabba.

Syrians Joyfully Topple Assad Statues in Historic Moment

On Sunday, many Syrians across the country celebrated as they toppled and stomped on statues of Hafez al-Assad, the deceased father of current President Bashar al-Assad. Hafez ruled Syria for nearly thirty years until 2000, when his son Bashar took control. This event marked a powerful moment for a nation that has lived under the harsh rules of the Assad family for over fifty years.

In their capital city, Damascus, people were excited to stand on a broken statue of Hafez, expressing their hope for a brighter future. The celebrations followed reports from rebels, who said Bashar al-Assad had fled the country amid fighting that led to the capture of city after city by the opposition forces.

Bashar al-Assad became president in 2000 after his father’s death and has been in power since then. Since 2011, he has responded to peaceful protests with violence, turning the country into a battlefield and creating one of the deadliest conflicts in recent history, which has killed hundreds of thousands and forced millions to leave their homes.

Hafez al-Assad began his rule in 1970 after a coup. He built a powerful and cruel government where anyone who opposed him could be arrested or killed. Even after he died, many statues and pictures of him were everywhere in Syria, reminding citizens of his long rule.

Recently, the removal of Hafez’s statues has spread beyond Damascus. In cities like Jaramana and Aleppo, protesters celebrated as they brought down his statue, cheering and applauding. In Daraa, where protests began in 2011, a rebel fighter was even seen dragging one of Hafez’s statues behind his motorbike!

In Hama, where a terrible massacre happened in 1982, rebels cheered as they took down another statue. Young people celebrated, shouting “freedom forever.” They also drove cars through the streets, passing buildings with murals of Bashar al-Assad.

Indian Student Harshandeep Singh Shot Dead in Canada: Updates and Arrests

A 20-year-old Indian student named Harshandeep Singh was shot and killed in an apartment in Edmonton, Canada, on Friday. Police have arrested two suspects, Evan Rain and Judith Saulteaux, both aged 30, and charged them with first-degree murder.

Harshandeep, who worked as a security guard, was found by police in the building’s stairwell after they were called about a gunshot around 12:30 a.m. on December 6. Officers think he was shot from behind while being pushed down the stairs by three people, according to some CCTV footage. After the shooting, the suspects ran away. Emergency services tried to help Harshandeep and took him to the hospital, but he was sadly declared dead.

Police have recovered a weapon and believe Harshandeep was targeted. An autopsy is scheduled for December 9 to figure out more about his death. This incident comes soon after another Indian student named Gurasis Singh was stabbed to death in Ontario. Gurasis was 22 and studying business at Lambton College. A man named Crossley Hunter, aged 36, has been charged with his murder.

The authorities are still looking into both cases but believe Gurasis’s murder was not racially motivated. Lambton College shared their sadness over Gurasis’s passing and said they are helping his family with funeral plans.

Jaipur Court Awards ₹99 Lakh to Girl Injured by Power Line

A court in Jaipur has ordered Jaipur Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Limited to pay 99 lakh rupees (about 9.9 million) to the family of a five-year-old girl. This happened because a high-voltage power line fell on her in March 2015, which resulted in her arms being amputated. The decision was made on November 28 and the money is meant to help with her ongoing medical treatment and future care.

    Details of the Compensation
The court said the compensation money will be kept in a fixed deposit account. The family will get 6% interest on this money every year, starting from 2016 (the year the claim was made). This interest will be paid to the family each month to help pay for her medical needs.

When the girl turns 21, she will be able to take out 25 lakh rupees (about 2.5 million) for her own use. The rest of the money will continue to help with her care as she grows up.

    Court’s Message
The judge pointed out how important daughters are to families. He shared that this compensation is meant to help lessen the pain caused by this terrible accident. This ruling brings closure to a case that showed how serious it can be when public utilities neglect safety.

  • Siraj and Head Share Sportsmanship Moments After Heated Adelaide Test

Siraj and Head Share Sportsmanship Moments After Heated Adelaide Test

In an exciting second Test match at Adelaide Oval, Indian bowler Mohammed Siraj and Australian player Travis Head showed great sportsmanship despite some heated moments.

On Day 2 of the match, Siraj dismissed Head for a solid score of 140 runs, and their exchange became quite intense. After Head was out, Siraj celebrated and gave him a little send-off, leading to a fiery moment between them. Head later said he complimented Siraj by saying “well bowled,” but Siraj disagreed, claiming that Head didn’t say anything nice at all. They even had a friendly chat when Siraj went in to bat later, but it wasn’t as dramatic.

After the match ended, which Australia won by 10 wickets, the rivalry seemed to cool down as Siraj and Head hugged it out. Australia celebrated their victory with Pat Cummins taking five wickets and ending India’s innings at just 175 runs. The Australian openers made quick work of chasing down the 19-run target in just over 3 overs.

Before Day 3 began, Siraj spoke about the situation and denied Head’s claim of saying “well bowled.” He expressed that while he enjoyed bowling against Head, he felt annoyed after being hit for a six earlier in the match. Siraj insisted, “It’s a lie that he said ‘well bowled’ to me.”

Siraj and Head’s Controversial Encounter in Adelaide Test!

In the recent Adelaide Test, India lost to Australia by ten wickets, making the Border-Gavaskar Trophy tied. However, the match will be remembered for a dramatic moment between Indian bowler Mohammed Siraj and Australian batsman Travis Head on Day 2. When Siraj got Head out, he gave him a fiery send-off even after Head scored an impressive 140 runs. The crowd in Adelaide didn’t like Siraj’s actions.

Former Australian cricketer Matthew Hayden shared his thoughts on the situation. He felt it’s okay for a bowler to have some fun with the batsman, but he criticized the Indian team for not acknowledging Head’s fantastic innings. Hayden said, “There should’ve been a moment of humility. When a player performs so well like Head did, it’s good sportsmanship to say ‘well played’”.

On Day 2, Head mentioned he congratulated Siraj by saying ‘well bowled’ after getting out, but Siraj didn’t react nicely, leading to a few exchanged words. However, Siraj claimed that Head never said ‘well bowled’ and accused him of lying.

Despite the drama, Australia won the match easily, chasing down a small target of 19 runs in just 3.2 overs. Now, India and Australia will play the third Test at the Gabba in Brisbane from December 14-18.

A total of 173 newly elected MLAs took their oaths that day, while 115 opposition MLAs are yet to do so. Under the Shiv Sena (UBT), leader Aaditya Thackeray announced that their winning MLAs would refuse to take their oaths, citing concerns over the legitimacy of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar responded to Thackeray by stating that if there are doubts about the EVMs, the opposition should take their concerns to the Election Commission or the courts. There’s no use in bringing it up here, he said.
