  • Vaibhav Suryavanshi: U-19 Cricket Star Faces Age Controversy Again!

Vaibhav Suryavanshi: U-19 Cricket Star Faces Age Controversy Again!

Vaibhav Suryavanshi is a talented young cricketer from India. He recently played well in the U-19 Asia Cup held in the UAE and scored 176 runs in five games. He hit two amazing fifties, including a fantastic 76 not out against the UAE, which helped India reach the semifinals. In the semifinal match, he hit five sixes and six fours, earning him the Player of the Match title in India’s victory.

However, some people are questioning his age. Former Pakistan cricketer Junaid Khan shared a video of Suryavanshi’s performance and wondered if a 13-year-old could really hit such long sixes.

Suryavanshi made history last month when he became the youngest player ever sold in an IPL auction, bought by Rajasthan Royals for ₹1.10 crore. After this achievement, rumors started that he might actually be 15 years old instead of 13. But his father defended him, saying that Vaibhav had his age checked with a BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) bone test when he was just 8. He also stated, “We are not scared. He can take another age test if needed.”

In March 2025, Suryavanshi will join the Rajasthan Royals, playing alongside famous players like Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal, and will be coached by the legendary Rahul Dravid.

  • Vikram Misri’s Talks in Bangladesh: Addressing Strained Ties

Vikram Misri’s Talks in Bangladesh: Addressing Strained Ties

On Monday, Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met with Bangladesh’s Foreign Adviser, Touhid Hussain. Misri flew in from India on an Air Force jet for a one-day visit to discuss the relationship between both countries. This was the first time an Indian official visited Bangladesh for important talks since Sheikh Hasina had to leave as Prime Minister on August 5.

After their meeting, Misri told reporters that he appreciated the chance to have a frank and open conversation. He mentioned that they discussed some worrying issues, including the safety of minorities in Bangladesh and recent attacks on cultural and religious sites.

The friendship between India and Bangladesh has been shaky since Hasina was ousted due to protests. After she left, Nobel Peace Prize winner Mohammad Yunus became the new leader. Recently, there have been increasing incidents of violence against Hindus, including the arrest of a Hindu monk named Chinmoy Krishna Das, which has raised alarms in India.

In September, Bangladesh’s foreign adviser had a brief meeting with India’s Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar in New York. While Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Yunus attended the same UN summit in September, they did not get a chance to meet.

Before leaving, Misri is also expected to pay a courtesy visit to Yunus.

Daniel Craig’s Captivating Role in ‘Queer’ Sparks Oscar Buzz!

Daniel Craig is getting amazing reviews for his role in the movie “Queer,” directed by Luca Guadagnino. In this film, he plays William Lee, an American drifter who falls in love with a young man while in Mexico.

In an interview with the Sunday Times, Craig shared that he couldn’t have taken on this challenging role while he was also playing James Bond. He explained, “If I had done this during my Bond years, it would have seemed like I was just trying to prove I could act in different ways.”

Craig talked about his experience as James Bond, stating it felt like a lot of pressure. He said, “At first, I thought I needed to work on other projects, but I didn’t really need to.” He admitted that being a star brings incredible opportunities but also left him feeling empty. After each Bond film, it took him a long time to feel normal again.

  • Challenges in Investigating Sexual Abuse in Malayalam Film Industry

Challenges in Investigating Sexual Abuse in Malayalam Film Industry

Law enforcement is facing a tough situation as they deal with 35 police reports (FIRs) that came from a report by the Hema Committee. This report talks about sexual abuse and unfair treatment of women in the Malayalam film industry. Many survivors of these incidents do not want to take legal action, making the investigation harder.

The FIRs were filed by a special team created to investigate claims of molestation, attempted rape, and rape. Some of these claims date back to the early 2000s. Because a lot of time has passed, there isn’t much evidence left, and the investigation needs to rely mostly on the stories of the survivors. Sadly, these stories might not be enough for legal action.

Many survivors have chosen not to name their attackers. However, the police believe they can still find the suspects based on hints given in the survivors’ statements. To keep everyone safe, the details of the FIRs are kept private, protecting both the survivors and the famous people involved in the cases.

Actor Mala Parvathy, who spoke to the committee, has now gone to the Supreme Court to stop the investigation. She believes that it is unfairly bothering innocent people. The decision of the court could greatly impact the investigation and the conversation around holding people accountable in the industry.

In the meantime, G Poonguzhali, an officer in charge of coastal security, has been chosen to help manage the complaints from survivors and ensure their safety from any possible threats related to the Hema Committee report.

  • Australia’s Win: Siraj and Head’s Heated Moment Sparks Excitement!

Australia’s Win: Siraj and Head’s Heated Moment Sparks Excitement!

In a thrilling cricket match, Australia beat India by 10 wickets in Adelaide. One of the most talked-about moments was a heated exchange between Indian bowler Mohammed Siraj and Australian batsman Travis Head.

During the game, Siraj bowled a brilliant yorker to get Head out but celebrated a bit too excitedly, which upset Head. They both exchanged some heated words, adding excitement to the match. While some people criticized Siraj for his actions, Australia’s bowler Josh Hazlewood stepped in to defend him.

Hazlewood, who has played alongside Siraj in the IPL, said that Siraj is very passionate and brings energy to the game. He compared him to Virat Kohli, saying both players wear their hearts on their sleeves and enjoy getting the crowd riled up. Hazlewood mentioned, “Siraj bowls great spells, and it’s nice to see his character on the field.”

Later on, when Siraj went in to bat, he and Head were seen talking in a friendlier way, which made fans happy to see the tension ease. Fans hope the rivalry stays exciting without becoming too intense.

Unfortunately for Australia, Hazlewood missed the Adelaide Test due to a small injury but is expected to return for the next match in Brisbane. This is good news for Australia, but it could be a challenge for India as they try to bounce back after their loss.
