Major Arrest: 22 Naxalites Hindered by Police in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh

The police in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district have arrested 22 Naxalites and found explosive materials. This happened at three different locations.

On Tuesday, seven lower-rank members were caught in a forest near Tekmetla village. A combined team of CoBRA (an elite unit of the CRPF) and local police was on a mission to patrol the area when they made the arrests.

In another action, six Naxalites were arrested from a fort in Belchar village, and nine more were taken into custody from a forest in Kandakarka village. Separate teams of security personnel carried out these operations.

The arrested Naxalites, aged between 19 and 45 years, had dangerous items with them, including tiffin bombs, gelatin sticks, detonators, electric wires, batteries, and Maoist pamphlets.
