Nora Fatehi, a popular actress, found herself in the middle of scary wildfires in Los Angeles. She had to leave her home quickly when officials ordered people to evacuate. Nora described the situation as “crazy” and said she had never seen anything like it before.
On her Instagram, Nora shared a video showing the fires and explained, “I just got an evacuation order like 5 minutes ago. I quickly packed my things, and now I’m leaving this area.” She planned to stay near the airport so she could catch her flight because she was worried it might be canceled. Nora said, “I really hope everyone in LA is safe.”
Fellow actress Priyanka Chopra also posted a video from her home, showing flames on a hill nearby. She expressed her hopes for everyone’s safety and thanked the brave firefighters for their hard work.
The wildfires have been destructive, damaging over 1,000 buildings and forcing more than 130,000 people to evacuate their homes. Firefighters from nearby states are helping fight the fires, but the situation is still very dangerous. One major fire in Pacific Palisades started on Tuesday and has spread over 15,000 acres, leaving many homes in danger.
Several celebrities, including Mark Hamill and Mandy Moore, had to evacuate as well. Sadly, some stars, like Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, lost their homes in the fires. Other well-known names, like Jamie Lee Curtis and Tom Hanks, have houses close to the threat of the flames. Reports say that Ben Affleck also evacuated from his $20 million home, staying with his friend Jennifer Garner to be safe.
The wildfires have impacted Hollywood, resulting in the delay of the Critics’ Choice Awards and the pause of filming for popular shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Abbott Elementary.
