19 year old entrepreneur himanshu rajpurohi and shark tank india season 4 judges

The new season of Shark Tank India started on January 6, and one entrepreneur, Himanshu Rajpurohit, made headlines because of his story and pitch. Himanshu, only 19 years old and the founder of Nexera.Health, was looking for Rs 75 lakh in exchange for 1% of his healthcare app. He started businesses at a young age and even mentioned Ritesh Agarwal, the founder of OYO, as his inspiration.

Too Much Confidence Worries the Sharks

At first, the sharks were impressed by Himanshu’s young age and past success. However, things got tricky when he tried to share too much information too quickly. Kunal Bahl, one of the judges, asked how his app would attract Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), but Himanshu couldn’t answer well. Vineeta Singh pointed out that the market was full of similar apps, and it seemed like no one would invest.

Himanshu made things worse by saying he mainly wanted advice and that he could get money from other sources. The sharks didn’t like this. Aman Gupta, co-founder of boAt Lifestyle, said he was almost ready to invest but was annoyed by Himanshu’s attitude. “Your confidence is too much! Now, no mentorship for you,” he retorted.

A Major Mistake with the App

The situation worsened when Kunal found a mistake in Himanshu’s app. The 19-year-old had rushed to create a new version just two days before the show, shocking the investors. Aman questioned why he should invest in someone unprepared.

Even with Himanshu’s achievements of starting three businesses before 20, the sharks didn’t want to gamble on him. Kunal called his project a “nice to have” venture, while Namita Thapar, who works for Emcure Pharmaceuticals, didn’t see what made his app special. She said, “You’re not doing anything new, and you ignored your competition, so I’m out.” Ritesh Agarwal praised Himanshu’s spirit but also opted out, offering help outside the show instead.

Lessons Learned from Shark Tank

Himanshu defended his pitch, saying being on Shark Tank India was a big moment for him. It let him show how his product can change corporate healthcare and learn from smart business experts. He believes this experience will help his company, Nexera.Health, grow.

While the sharks passed on Himanshu’s pitch, it looks like he has big dreams for his business. It will be interesting to see if he takes the lessons he learned and turns them into success.
