Adhik Ravichandran’s movie “Good Bad Ugly,” starring popular actors Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan, is doing great at the box office. Even with competition from another film called “Jaat,” it has managed to attract a lot of attention. As per Niftystat, the movie is about to hit an impressive ₹200 crore mark worldwide.
As of Tuesday, the film has collected ₹108.30 crore net (which is the money coming in before costs) and ₹127.50 crore gross (total money earned) in India within just six days! It also earned another ₹52.20 crore from international audiences, making its total collection around ₹180 crore so far, making it the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year!
In India, the film saw about 29% occupancy in theaters. However, on Tuesday, the number of viewers dipped by 53.33%, but it still managed to gather ₹7 crore net from Indian audiences. The Tamil version of the movie has so far earned ₹103.2 crore in India, while the Telugu version has made ₹5.1 crore. Industry experts believe that “Good Bad Ugly” will keep performing well and quickly approach the ₹200 crore milestone.
About the Film:
“Good Bad Ugly” features Ajith as a retired gangster named Red Dragon, also known as AK. Even though he is in jail, he puts on a brave face for his son, Vihaan, to keep his wife, Ramya (played by Trisha), happy. Trying to leave behind his past in crime proves difficult when his family’s safety is at risk. The movie tells the story of how he deals with these problems.
