Rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs is feeling upset because another inmate at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, Luigi Mangione, is getting a lot of attention. Mangione is in jail for the murder of Brian Thompson, the CEO of United Healthcare. Diddy, who is facing serious charges like sex trafficking and assault, has pleaded not guilty.
A source told the Daily Mail that Diddy is annoyed that Mangione, who was caught on camera while committing murder, is being treated like a hero. This source mentioned that Mangione has support from other inmates because they share stories of losing friends and family due to bad healthcare.
The conditions in the detention center aren’t great either; it has been criticized for not providing enough medical care. Even though Diddy and Mangione have the same lawyers, they haven’t talked to each other. Diddy is in the general population, while Mangione is in solitary confinement, meaning they don’t hang out at all.
Mangione is facing serious charges, including first-degree murder, and could spend life in prison if found guilty. His case won’t be back in Manhattan federal court until February, as lawyers need more time to prepare.
