A fire broke out in a building in Mumbai where famous singer Udit Narayan lives, resulting in a tragic event. The fire started around 9 PM in a flat on the 11th floor of the Sky Pan building, located in Andheri’s Oberoi Complex. It took firefighters nearly four hours to put out the flames by 1:49 AM the next day.

Sadly, a 75-year-old man named Rahul Mishra died from smoke suffocation, while another person, 38-year-old Raunak Mishra, was treated at Kokilaben Hospital and later released. The fire was mainly caused by a problem with the building’s electrical wiring, and officials believe it might have been a short-circuit, but they are still checking to be sure.

Udit Narayan, who lives on the same floor but in a different wing, said everyone had to leave their homes and stay outside for about three to four hours. He expressed his gratitude that he and his family were safe after such a frightening experience. Udit shared that this incident has deeply affected him emotionally, and he feels sorry for those involved.

Five people were in the flat when the fire started, and three of them, including some helpers, escaped without injury. Firefighters mentioned that the building’s fire safety system was not working correctly, making it harder for them to put out the fire.
