Lily-Rose Depp recently opened up about how her dad, Johnny Depp, affected her while growing up. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she shared how his famous role in Edward Scissorhands left her feeling upset as a child. She said, “Movies should make you feel something. I was sad after watching Edward Scissorhands because everyone was mean to him, and it really bothered me.”
Lily-Rose also discussed how her father’s fame influenced her own journey in acting. She mentioned, “We act differently, but your surroundings shape you. I’ve always been curious about this world.”
Last year, she told The Daily Telegraph India how hard it was to keep her life private because her parents, Johnny and Vanessa Paradis, are so famous. “Every job has challenges, and fame can be one of them. People want to know about your life when that’s not what they should focus on. It’s important for actors to keep some mystery so audiences can believe in their characters.”
Lily-Rose’s latest movie, Nosferatu, is getting lots of praise. Reviewers are calling it “hypnotic” and “the scariest movie since The Shining.” They especially loved her acting, with The Hollywood Reporter saying, “The film belongs to Lily-Rose Depp, whose performance is a revelation.” She stars as Ellen Hutter in this remake inspired by Dracula, alongside actors like Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Willem Dafoe, and Emma Corrin.
