The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, launched a 13-day trip for kids without parents, called “children of the state,” under the Sukh Aashray scheme. This is the first group of children going on this trip, which has 16 girls and six boys. The CM wished them a fun and exciting journey as they left in a comfortable Volvo bus.
Sukhu mentioned that the government made a law recently to help these orphaned kids and has taken care of 6,000 of them. The Sukh Aashray Yojana is designed to support these children in their education and help them grow strong and independent. During their trip, they will explore cities like Chandigarh, Delhi, and Goa.
The children will first visit Chandigarh from January 2 to 4 and stay at Himachal Bhawan. Then they will take the Shatabdi Express train to Delhi on January 5, where they will see important places until January 8. After that, they’ll fly to Goa on January 9 and stay in a nice hotel while checking out popular sights.
Their trip will end when they come back to Chandigarh on January 14. Sukhu stressed that the government wants to act like parents to these children, giving them access to the same activities other kids enjoy with their families. He believes these kids have a bright future and will help grow the state and the country.
