Peacock’s The Good Daughter: A Gripping Tale of Trauma and Truth

Peacock’s new series “The Good Daughter” stars Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy as sisters facing past trauma in a small town after new violent events.

Peacock is excited to share that they are making a new limited series called The Good Daughter, based on the popular novel by Karin Slaughter. This series features Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy as sisters, Charlotte and Samantha Quinn.

The story focuses on how a violent event changes their lives almost 30 years ago. Charlotte, played by Fahy, becomes a lawyer just like their dad. When another attack happens in their small town of Pikeville, she has to face her past fears. Samantha, played by Byrne, struggles with the memories they both have.

Production Details:

Originally, actress Jessica Biel was supposed to play Charlotte but left the project before filming started. Karin Slaughter, the author, will be closely involved in making the series, writing and producing all the episodes. Some of her previous works, like Pieces of Her and Will Trent, have also been made into TV shows.

Producers and Directors:

The executive team includes Bruna Papandrea, Steve Hutensky, and Casey Haver, all working under Made Up Stories. Steph Green will direct the series, while Fifth Season will handle production and distribution.

Cast Highlights:

Meghann Fahy has been in popular shows like The White Lotus and The Perfect Couple. She will also appear in upcoming movies called Rebuilding and The Unbreakable Boy. Rose Byrne is known for her roles in Bridesmaids and Physical and will star in upcoming films such as Tow and If I Had Legs I’d Kick You.
