The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has asked the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) to look into a complaint about factories on farm land in Delhi. On December 23, NGT Chairperson Justice Prakash Shrivastava and expert member A. Senthil Vel said the complainant can share more details with the DPCC about the issue and include any proof he has.
The complaint was about illegal factories run by two people in Mundka village, located in West Delhi. However, the NGT noticed that the complainant didn’t explain what kind of industrial activities were happening and didn’t say if he tried to report it to the right officials first.
The member secretary of the DPCC will investigate the complaint and inspect the area. If the claims are true, they will take necessary actions according to the law within eight weeks.
