A 16-year-old boy from Meerut has been arrested for allegedly killing his 17-year-old friend with a hammer. It all started because the friend blackmailed the boy’s girlfriend using private photos.
The police reported that the boys were good friends and classmates. But their friendship turned sour when the older boy found a way to get private pictures from the younger boy’s phone. He started making fun of him and then began to blackmail the girl, asking to meet her alone in a hidden place.
The boy’s anger grew when he learned what his friend was doing to his girlfriend. He wanted to teach his friend a lesson.
What Happened?
On Saturday afternoon, both boys told their families they were going to tuition classes. Instead, they bought alcohol and rode about 10 kilometers to a quiet spot on the victim’s scooter. There, it’s alleged that the younger boy attacked and killed his friend, then went home silently.
When the victim didn’t return, his family got worried. They found out there were no tuition classes that day and contacted the accused, who denied seeing his friend. Concerned, the family went to the police for help.
Investigation and Arrest
Police reviewed CCTV footage showing the two boys together, leading to the younger boy’s arrest. He later confessed to the crime. The victim had serious head injuries, and his body was sent for an autopsy. The police have charged the 16-year-old with murder under the BNS Act. He is now in a juvenile home as the investigation continues.
