Afghanistan’s Defense Ministry announced on Saturday that its military attacked several locations in Pakistan as revenge for airstrikes that happened last week. These airstrikes, carried out by Pakistan on Tuesday, targeted a training center in Afghanistan’s eastern Paktika province and resulted in the deaths of many people, including women and children.

On Saturday, the Taliban Defense Ministry shared a message on X, stating that their forces hit Pakistani sites used by groups that plan and support attacks against Afghanistan. They did not provide details on any casualties or how the attacks were conducted.

Pakistani officials have accused the Taliban of not doing enough to stop militants from launching attacks across the border, which the Taliban government denies. They claim they do not allow any groups to use their territory for attacks on other countries. There was no immediate response from Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry regarding the recent attacks.
