Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh] – On December 25, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Khajuraho to launch several major development projects. He laid the groundwork for the Ken-Betwa River Linking Project, which is an important effort to help farmers by providing irrigation in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. This project is the first of its kind in India and is expected to benefit thousands of farming families.

In his speech, PM Modi praised the progress made under Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, saying that development in the state has received a new boost. During the event, he also released a special stamp and coin to celebrate the 100th birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Modi laid the foundation for 1,153 Atal Gram Sushasan buildings, which will help local governments do their jobs better and improve governance in villages.

Additionally, PM Modi inaugurated the Omkareshwar Floating Solar Project. Located in the Khandwa district, this solar farm will help reduce carbon emissions and support the government’s goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2070. It will also conserve water by minimizing evaporation from the reservoir.
