Bhubaneswar: Good news for workers in Odisha! On Friday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced a 2% raise in dearness allowance (DA) for state government employees and retirees. This means that the total DA for employees and temporary increase for pensioners will go from 53% to 55%.
The new rates will take effect from January 1, 2025, and workers will get this extra money in their April paycheck. This change will help around 850,000 government workers and pensioners in the state.
