In Indore city, Madhya Pradesh, the police have arrested two young men and caught a 17-year-old boy because they think they might be involved in “anti-national” activities. Police officials said they are looking into whether these young people were trying to connect with terrorist groups or the Pakistani intelligence agency, ISI, using social media.
The police found videos promoting radical ideas that could harm community peace on their mobile phones. The suspects, aged 20, 21, and 17, reportedly watched and shared this troubling content on Instagram and YouTube.
The authorities received tips from different agencies that keep an eye on social media activity, which led to the arrest of these three in the Khajrana area of Indore. However, officials mentioned that it’s not clear yet if the suspects are linked to terrorist activities in Kashmir or the ISI, saying that those claims are “misleading.”
The police are currently questioning the three to get more information. An FIR (First Information Report) has been filed against them under specific Indian laws. Reports suggest that the suspects had stopped their schooling and were working in temporary jobs.
