India and China’s Special Representatives will meet to improve ties after troop disengagement in Ladakh. Key discussions are set for December 18 in Beijing.

India and China are set to hold important talks about their border issues on Wednesday. This meeting comes after an agreement on October 21 to pull back troops in eastern Ladakh. China’s Foreign Ministry announced that the meeting will take place in Beijing on December 18, where Chinese official Wang Yi and India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval will discuss the situation. Doval will arrive on Tuesday to take part in these important discussions, which aim to help both countries improve their relationship. The Special Representatives (SRs) were created in 2003 to tackle the complex border dispute that stretches over 3,488 kilometers. They have met 22 times before to discuss these issues.
