Popular Telugu actor Allu Arjun was arrested by the Hyderabad police on Friday after a sad accident at the premiere of his new movie, “Pushpa-2: The Rule,” on December 4. During the event, a stampede broke out, leading to the death of a 35-year-old woman named Revathi. Her nine-year-old son, Sri Teja, was taken to the hospital because he couldn’t breathe properly.
The unfortunate situation happened at Sandhya Theatre, which was crowded with fans hoping to see Allu Arjun. After the incident, the police filed a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management.
Revathi’s son, Sri Teja, is currently recovering in the hospital. The police have charged Allu Arjun and others under certain sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) law because of complaints from Revathi’s family.
What happened at the premiere of “Pushpa 2”? A big crowd gathered to see Allu Arjun, who was there with his co-star Rashmika Mandanna and his wife, Allu Sneha Reddy. This caused the chaos that led to the tragedy.
The police have also arrested M. Sandeep, one of the owners of Sandhya Theatre, and some of the staff. They are all facing legal action connected to the incident.
Allu Arjun and director Sukumar spoke to the media to express their sadness about what happened, offering to pay for Revathi’s medical bills and other needs. Arjun announced that he would donate ₹25 lakh (about $30,000) to help the victim’s family. He said in a video, “I want to show I am there for you, especially for the children.”
