Operation Sindoor: Leaders Unite for National Security After Pahalgam Attack

A day after India carried out ‘Operation Sindoor’ against terrorist groups in Pakistan, the central government held an important meeting with leaders from different political parties on Thursday. This meeting was attended by key ministers like Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, among others.

Rajnath Singh led the meeting, where he explained how Operation Sindoor was carried out. He shared that the operation was successful and that about 100 terrorists were hit. Many leaders expressed their support for the armed forces and agreed that working together is essential during tough times. They discussed the importance of keeping national security information confidential.

While the meeting showed a united front, Kharge pointed out that Prime Minister Modi missed this important discussion, just like he did last time. Kharge suggested that Modi seems to think he is above the Parliament. However, he emphasized that, for now, everyone should support the government’s efforts.

The meeting took place after India executed Operation Sindoor in response to a terrible terror attack that killed 26 people, mostly tourists, in Kashmir. During the operation, Indian forces targeted nine terrorist sites in Pakistan. Many families affected by the attack praised the operation as necessary. After the operation, officials stated that Pakistan hasn’t done enough to stop terrorists in their territory.
