Harris Faces Criticism for Met Gala 2025 Appearance and High Ticket Cost

Former US Vice President Kamala Harris attended the famous Met Gala 2025 on May 5 and tried to make an impression. She wore a custom off-white gown created by designer IB Kamara, as reported by Vogue. However, some people, especially Trump supporters, quickly criticized her.

While some fans praised her look, others called her out for being “out of touch.” One person on social media said, “The Democrat party is so out of touch.” Many people questioned her choice to attend the expensive event, as tickets were around $75,000. Critics pointed out that her appearance seemed insensitive during tough economic times, with comments like, “Totally the party of the working class,” referencing her seemingly extravagant outfit.

Some comments focused on her dress, saying it was more black than white, and asked if that meant something. Others questioned why she was invited, with one user expressing disappointment and calling her “an embarrassment.” Another user joked about how her dress changed shades, saying, “just like her personality depending on who she talks to.”

Some people didn’t like how she looked in the gown, claiming it made her appear “wide, flat, and misshapen.” One Trump supporter even took the opportunity to promote Trump 2028, writing, “It’s great that your most defeated candidate is the best one you’ve got.”

Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff, also attended the gala, wearing a tuxedo designed by Brunello Cucinelli.
