US Vice President JD Vance is set to visit India later this month. During his trip, he will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also plans to visit the beautiful cities of Jaipur and Agra. This visit comes as India and the US work on a new trade deal.
Vance’s trip will happen around the same time as US National Security Advisor Michael Waltz’s visit to India from April 21 to 24. Before these important visits, the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Sanjay Malhotra, mentioned that India is in a good position compared to other countries. However, he pointed out that high tariffs could slow down growth. While global issues may affect exports of goods, he believes that the exports of services will stay strong.
In the coming months, US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth is also expected to visit India in May or June. His trip will focus on improving the US-India Major Defence Partnership, which was announced during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the White House in February.
