The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced its second list of candidates for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections. This time, they have named candidates for 20 seats. One key change is in the Patparganj area, where new member Avadh Ojha will run for election. Previously, sitting MLA Manish Sisodia represented this important district. Manish Sisodia will now compete in Jangpura.

Avadh Ojha is a famous coach for UPSC exams and recently joined AAP. Patparganj, located in East Delhi, is considered a stronghold for AAP, as Manish Sisodia has been elected from there since 2013.

The second list includes some notable names. Former BJP MLA Jintender Singh Shunty will be running from Shahdara, while ex-Congress MLA Surinder Pal Singh Bittu is set to contest from Timarpur. Both have switched to AAP recently. Shunty will replace the current AAP MLA and Speaker, Ram Niwas Goel, while Bittu takes the place of Dilip Pandey, AAP’s chief whip.

Earlier, on November 21, AAP released its first list of 11 candidates. The elections for the 70-member Delhi Assembly are expected to take place before February.

In other news, AAP also announced its members for Screening Committees for local elections in Punjab. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal will lead the committee in Amritsar, while other ministers were assigned to various regions like Balachaur, Bagha Purana, and Jalandhar. Elections for five municipal corporations, along with 44 municipal councils and nagar panchayats, are scheduled for December 21.
