Prime Video, the popular streaming service, has teamed up with CJ ENM, a leading entertainment company, to bring exciting Korean shows to fans around the world! This partnership will allow Prime Video to show new and popular Korean dramas for years to come, starting in 2025.
The announcement was made during the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit in Mumbai, India. The goal is to make Korean entertainment available to people everywhere, no matter where they live. One of the first new shows will be a romantic fantasy series called Head Over Heels, premiering in late June.
In addition to new titles, Prime Video will also include fan favorites like Her Private Life, Another Miss Oh, and the detective series Mouse. This expansion will help Prime Video reach audiences in over 240 countries and territories!
To make it easier for everyone to enjoy these shows, Prime Video will offer subtitles in 28 languages and dubbing in 11 languages for all new Korean series. Kelly Day, head of International for Prime Video, said this partnership shows their commitment to sharing the best of Korean entertainment worldwide.
Gaurav Gandhi, Vice President for Prime Video in Asia and the Middle East, expressed excitement about this collaboration, saying they want to be the go-to place for entertainment lovers.
CJ ENM’s Executive Vice President, Jangho Seo, also shared enthusiasm for this partnership. He noted that people globally are loving Korean stories and the quality of their productions. He believes this collaboration will help reach an even wider audience.
