Prince Harry Explains Why He Cannot Return to the UK with His Family

In a recent interview with BBC News, Prince Harry explained why he thinks it’s “impossible” for him, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, to visit the UK. The reason? Harry lost a legal battle regarding his security while in Britain.

He mentioned that his father, King Charles, has the power to help but noted that he doubts he will ever feel safe bringing his family back. “I can’t see myself bringing my wife and kids to the UK right now,” Harry admitted. He also pointed out that he can only come to the UK if he is invited, stating that his father has a lot of control over the situation.

Prince Harry suggested that King Charles could have made things easier by allowing security experts to do their job without interference.

The interview came after Harry’s recent defeat in court against the Home Office about security measures. Since moving to the United States in 2020, Harry and Meghan stepped down from royal duties. This led to a reduction in his police protection.

Harry emphasized that his private security team in the U.S. can’t get important safety information needed to protect his family while in the UK.

While Harry expressed that his father won’t talk to him due to these security issues, he still hopes for a reconciliation with the Royal Family. He shared, “It would be nice to get back together.” He added, “Life is precious. I don’t know how long my father has left.”
