Jitesh Sharma: Kohli’s Curious Quest for His Fun Side in IPL 2025!

Jitesh Sharma has done some amazing things in his cricket career. He played for India and got picked for ₹11 crore in the IPL 2024 mega-auction last November. He has impressed his coaches and is considered a strong wicketkeeping option for the Indian team. However, one thing he hasn’t done yet is open up to Virat Kohli, one of India’s cricket legends.

Kohli plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and has become close with many younger players in the team. For instance, Swastik Chikara, who jokingly opened Kohli’s bag and used his perfume, is one example of a player who is comfortable with Kohli. When asked who he wouldn’t want to share a room with, Kohli quickly said Chikara because he finds him a bit too clingy.

But Kohli is curious about Jitesh. He said, “There’s a funny side to Jitesh that I want to see more of. I can see some mischief in his eyes, and he seems street-smart. I want to get to know him better.”

As for Jitesh, his performance in the IPL hasn’t been great lately, scoring just 121 runs in 7 matches, with a best score of 40 not out against the Mumbai Indians. However, this doesn’t worry RCB since Kohli is performing really well. He is ranked No. 3 in the league with 443 runs at a high average of 63.

Kohli is having an excellent season, with six half-centuries, more than any other player. His good form is helping RCB do well in the IPL 2025 season, where they’ve earned 14 points from 10 games and sit in second place on the points table, just behind Mumbai Indians.

With only a few matches left in the season, if Kohli keeps playing like this, RCB might finally win their first IPL trophy. They, along with Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings, are the only original teams that have never won the tournament. RCB came close in 2016 but lost in the final. This season feels different, with the team performing well and suffering only one major batting collapse.
