PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti expressed hope that the Jammu and Kashmir government will allow age relaxation for police sub-inspector candidates. She pointed out that recruitment has been delayed since 2019, leaving many aspiring candidates in uncertainty. Mehbooba called for urgent support for this demand in a post on X, tagging Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
She said, “Many JKPSI hopefuls face a tough future due to recruitment delays, corruption, and exam cancellations. Age relaxation is a fair request, and I hope it’s granted soon.”
The police sub-inspector test was held in 2022, but the results were canceled after claims of cheating and fraud. A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry was started, leading to charges against 24 people, including a BSF officer.
