A week after the Pahalgam terror attack, a top police officer checked the safety arrangements for famous tourist spots near Jammu. Deputy Inspector General of Police, Shridhar Patil, visited Patnitop, Nathatop, and Sanasar, which are popular places for visitors throughout the year. He was joined by Senior Superintendent of Police, Kulbir Singh, along with other police and civil officials, including representatives from the Patnitop Development Authority and the Tourism Department.
They evaluated the security measures in these areas to ensure the safety of tourists. Patil also talked with leaders from hotel and trekking groups, as well as local residents like former village heads. The police spokesperson mentioned that they shared details about the safety measures in place and discussed ways to work better together for the community’s safety.
Patil stressed the importance of making sure visitors feel safe and comfortable. The officials talked about ways to improve teamwork between police and civil administrations, how to keep watch effectively, and how to ensure everything runs smoothly during the busy tourist season. This visit shows the government’s commitment to making Patnitop, Nathatop, and Sanasar safe spots for tourists from all over the country.
