Jenna Ortega, the star of “Wednesday,” recently shared exciting news in an interview with musician The Weeknd. She revealed that she has been working on a script for almost 10 years and feels finally ready to make her movie a reality!
“I have a script that I’ve known I wanted to make for almost a decade. It’s funny because I thought of it when I was much younger, and now I’m taking steps to make it happen,” Jenna said.
The 22-year-old actress is using her experience from working on Netflix’s “Wednesday,” where she even has a production credit for the upcoming second season. “I’ve learned so much about filmmaking while working on the show. I needed these years to understand how everything works,” she explained.
Jenna is eager to create this film and has also been inspired to develop other stories. “There are other projects I want to explore, inspired by different actors and characters I haven’t played before.”
She hopes to star in the film she directs. “It’s a big goal for me. I want to direct, and starting out, I can use my acting experience to help me,” she said.
Jenna and The Weeknd are set to appear together in a new movie called “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” which will hit theaters in the US in May.
