Gujarat Tourist Shares Terrifying Experience from Pahalgam Terror Attack

A shocking video from a tourist in Gujarat has gone viral after it captured a terrifying terror attack in Pahalgam. Rishi Bhatt, the tourist, said that the zipline operator shouted “Allahu Akbar” just before armed men started shooting at the tourists. This attack has been one of the deadliest since the 2019 Pulwama attack, which took the lives of many soldiers.

Who is Rishi Bhatt?
Rishi Bhatt is from Gujarat. He was on vacation in Pahalgam with his wife and son when the attack happened. In a video, he explained how his family managed to escape when the shooting started.

What happened during the attack?
Speaking to ANI, Rishi described how scary it was. He noticed the zipline operator calling out “Allahu Akbar” while he was using the zipline, and then gunfire erupted. Rishi said, “Nine people ziplined before me, and the operator didn’t say anything. But as I was going, he shouted and then the shooting began.” He became suspicious of the man.

The shooting started while Rishi was ziplining, and it took him about 20 seconds to realize it was a serious attack. He saw 5-6 people getting shot and quickly unlatched himself from the zipline. He grabbed his wife and son, and they ran for safety. They found a spot to hide where others were also taking cover.

Rishi said he heard gunmen asking some tourists about their religion before shooting them right in front of his family. “My wife and son were terrified,” he said. The shooting went on for 8-10 minutes, then paused before starting again.

When they finally reached safety, they saw that many local people had already left the area. Rishi praised the Indian Army, who arrived quickly to help protect the tourists. He expressed gratitude, saying, “We felt safe once the Army arrived.”
