NEET-UG Exam 2024: Strict Security Plans to Ensure Fairness and Integrity

The Ministry of Education is having meetings with district officials and police from all states and union territories to make sure the NEET-UG exam goes smoothly this year. The big medical entrance test will take place on May 4 in more than 550 cities and over 5,000 centers across India.

After some problems last year, including leaked exam papers, the Ministry wants to make sure nothing like that happens again. They are putting together a strong plan to keep the exam fair and secure.

Officials say there will be extra police checks at the exam locations. Along with special security from the National Testing Agency (NTA), there will be thorough searches of people entering the exam centers. Police will also ensure that important items like question papers are safely transported to exam sites.

Magistrates will check each exam center to make sure everything is ready. Local district officers will also visit the exam sites to see how prepared they are. The Ministry is taking these steps after facing criticism about last year’s NEET-UG and other university exams that had issues.

To keep the testing fair, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating these irregularities. There were last-minute cancellations of some exams to stop any cheating troubles.
