Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of President John F. Kennedy, criticized CNN for their coverage of the newly released JFK assassination files. These 80,000 files were made public by former President Donald Trump on March 18 as he promised to share all remaining records. Schlossberg was upset that the Trump administration didn’t inform Kennedy’s family about the release ahead of time.
In a video he shared on social media, Schlossberg looked frustrated and questioned CNN’s decision to cover the files instead of more pressing news stories. He praised CNN anchors but asked why they were reporting on this topic.
He also announced that the Trump administration had not warned anyone in JFK’s family about the release, saying it was a complete surprise. Schlossberg took to social media again to clarify that rumors about his personal life mentioned in the JFK files are false, stating he is straight.
Additionally, Schlossberg criticized Senator Mike Lee for questioning why the files took so long to be released. He told Lee that if he cared about JFK’s legacy, he shouldn’t be hurting it with his comments.
