On Wednesday, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan praised NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore for their amazing journey in space. He wished them good health and many more successes in the future.

Astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore made history by returning to Earth after spending an extraordinary nine months at the International Space Station (ISS). Their mission faced technical difficulties, but they pushed through and achieved so much, inspiring many people along the way.

After their long stay, the astronauts returned on Tuesday in a SpaceX capsule that splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico, near Tallahassee, Florida. This marked the end of a challenging adventure that started with a previous test flight that didn’t go as planned.

Just one hour after landing, Sunita and Butch were out of their capsule, happily waving and smiling for the cameras as they were taken away on stretchers for health checks. Their story is a reminder of how far humans can go in exploring space!
