Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared a trailer for her first production, Subham, on Sunday. This film, produced by Tralala Moving Pictures, features Samantha in a funny cameo.
The 2-minute and 51-second trailer starts with men talking about how they expect their wives to have coffee ready for them at all times. However, one man disagrees with this “alpha male” idea. Soon, the women in their homes become enchanted by a TV show that airs every night at 9 PM, and the men start losing control.
At the end of the trailer, a character called Maata, played by Samantha, is asked what will happen to the men. She makes a dramatic gesture and jokingly warns them that they might all be in trouble, even offering some funny condolences.
Samantha encouraged everyone to watch this fun movie by saying, “Join us for a fun ride with a film that’s all heart. #Subham in theatres May 9!” Fans reacted positively, with one saying it “looks super fun” and another commenting on her comedic timing. Many can’t wait to see her exciting cameo at the end!

Samantha is stepping into production with Tralala Moving Pictures and is also producing another film called Maa Inti Bangaram, in which she will star. She was last seen in the 2023 movies Shaakunthalam and Kushi, and will appear in a 2024 Prime Video show called Citadel: Honey Bunny. Right now, she is busy filming an exciting project called Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom with Raj & DK for Netflix. Besides acting, she also hosts a health podcast and has several business ventures.
