The Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) in Uttar Pradesh arrested a man named Ravindra Kumar, who works at an ordnance factory in Firozabad. He is accused of sharing secret information with Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), after falling into a “honey trap.”
Nilabja Choudhary, a senior officer with the ATS, explained that they called Kumar to their office in Lucknow for questioning and discovered he had been leaking sensitive defense documents to a woman named ‘Neha,’ who is believed to be an ISI agent.
The ATS had been tipped off that Kumar was passing on different kinds of confidential information. Their Agra unit checked into him, and during the questioning, it was confirmed that he had shared important details about daily production, stock movement, and other crucial documents from the factory.
Choudhary mentioned that this kind of spying method, called a “honeytrap,” can be a major threat to national security. He urged other sensitive government institutions to improve their security checks to prevent this from happening in the future.
